CM Dr. Yadav : Efforts to strengthen the spirit of patriotism through music
- The splendid performance of the police band mesmerizes everyone
- Police band organised in all districts on Mukhya Mantri Jan Kalyan Parv and Vijay Diwas
CM Dr. Yadav has said that the tradition of our police band is not just music, but it is a symbol of our nationalism, discipline and glorious history. Whether it is the tune of ‘Kadam-Kadam Badhaye Ja’ during the freedom struggle or the Shankhnaad of the Vedic period, music has always given direction to our culture and struggles. In the past, the units of the police band were gradually becoming extinct. With the aim of reviving them, it was decided that there should be a police band in every district. It not only enhances the dignity of our armed forces, but also awakens the spirit of patriotism in celebrations, national festivals and special events.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the presentation programme of the police band organised on Jankalyan Parv in Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium premises on Monday. CM Dr. Yadav said that our police is not limited to maintain law and order only. During difficult times like the Corona epidemic, the police showed a wonderful display of discipline and dedication. It is our responsibility to encourage their efforts. On this occasion, CM Dr. Yadav has also announced a reward of Rs 10,000 to each jawan of all the police bands.
At the programme organised in Bhopal, CM Dr. Yadav said that I am very happy to be present among you all in this wonderful event today. In this special programme organised under Jankalyan Parv, the brilliant presentation of the police band has mesmerized everyone. I heartily congratulate all the artists and their trainers.
Police Commissioner Bhopal Shri Harinarayanchari Mishra said that according to the work done during the last one year, today’s programme is very important in the wonderful series of Jankalyan Parv. Last year, under the leadership and guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the Police Department has introduced several new initiatives. Notably, there has been a reduction in organized crime, improvements in the handling of crimes against women, and significant institutional changes have been implemented.
Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang, MLA Shri Bhagwandas Sabnani, Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, ADG Shri Rakesh Gupta and other dignitaries were present in the grand event of Madhya Pradesh Police Band organised on the occasion of “Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Parv and Vijay Diwas”.
Jan Kalyan Parv: Innovations of Police Department
The Police Commissioner said that under the instructions given by the Chief Minister, the Police Department took new steps. Especially the reorganization of the Police Band is a big example of this. On their initiative, the band was reorganized and to give it a new direction, Madhya Pradesh Police sent its band trainees to the best training centres of the country like Bengaluru. The result was that our trainees secured first, second and third positions there. He said that the vision of CM Dr. Yadav inspires us to increase our participation with the civil affairs, not just limit ourselves to maintain law and order. Today’s programme has been organised to realize this vision.
ADG Shri Rakesh Gupta presented a saxophone (musical instrument) as a souvenir to CM Dr. Yadav. Commander 7th Battalion Bhopal Shri Hitesh Chaudhary expressed his gratitude and said that the reorganization of the police band has strengthened the spirit of patriotism and discipline.
