CM Dr. Yadav : Public Welfare Campaign Focused on welfare of Youth, Women, Farmers, and the Underprivileged

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the Public Welfare Campaign for the welfare and development of youth, women, farmers, and the underprivileged will be launched in Madhya Pradesh from 11th December and will run until 26th January 2025. This campaign will benefit the identified beneficiaries of various welfare schemes, including both central and state government programs. Dr. Yadav mentioned that from 11th to 26th December, a Public Welfare Festival will also be celebrated during this period, which will include inaugurations and foundation-laying ceremonies of various development activities, along with the showcasing of the achievements of the state government over the past year. The Chief Minister was discussing the action plan for the Public Welfare Campaign and Festival with officials at Samatva Bhavan, located in the Chief Minister’s residence.
Chief Minister Public Welfare Campaign
Dr. Yadav said that the primary objective of the Public Welfare Campaign is to work with strong determination for the welfare and development of the youth, women, farmers, and the underprivileged by implementing the welfare schemes launched by the central and state governments. It will cover 34 beneficiary-oriented schemes, 11 target-based schemes, and 63 other services, aiming to reach the common citizens effectively. The activities of the campaign will be monitored through the CM Helpline Dashboard, which will be accessible to the Chief Minister, collectors and department officials. Additionally, the Chief Minister instructed to extend the duration of the ongoing Revenue Mega Campaign-3 till 26th January 2025.
Camps in Rural and Urban Areas
CM Dr. Yadav said that during the campaign, camps will be organized in both rural and urban areas to resolve public grievances and identify eligible beneficiaries to provide them the benefits of various welfare schemes. Cards will be issued under the Ayushman scheme for citizens aged 70 years and above. He emphasized that the environment of these camps and the facilities offered should be promoted in such a way that citizens voluntarily participate in them.
Dr. Yadav also directed officials to constitute contact teams within the prescribed timeline to identify eligible citizens who are yet to benefit from the schemes. The camps will be organized under the guidance of the district in-charge minister by the district collector. He instructed that the schedule and locations of these camps in every village panchayat and urban ward should be publicized. To monitor the camps effectively, a sector officer should be designated at the zone level in urban areas and for each Panchayat cluster in rural areas.
Public Welfare Festival
CM Dr. Yadav announced a series of development activities as part of the Chief Minister Public Welfare Festival, to be celebrated across Madhya Pradesh from December 11 to 26, 2024. The festival will commence on December 11 in Bhopal with the distribution of funds under the Ladli Behna Yojana and a grand Gita recitation on Gita Jayanti. Key events during the festival include the Bhoomi Pujan of the Sandwa Micro Irrigation Scheme in Alirajpur, cultural programs, and a central exhibition showcasing the state government’s achievements over the past year. Highlights include a youth bike rally near Ratapani Sanctuary from Bhopal, Sehore, and Raisen, distribution of nutrition kits to children under the Akshaya Patra program, cultural performances as part of the Tansen Samaroh in Gwalior, and the inauguration of a Convention Center with the unveiling of Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia’s statue. Other significant events include the unveiling of a Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel statue in Jabalpur, Bhoomi Pujan of a Gaushala in Umaria village, a Big Youth Dialogue focusing on self-employment and employment opportunities, presentations by the Police Band, the inauguration of a Forest Fair, and the Parvati-Kalisindh River Linking Project. Engagements with spiritual leaders and beneficiaries of the PM Swanidhi Scheme will also take place, alongside the convocation ceremony at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University in Indore, the inauguration of a Solar Park at Khandwa-Omkareshwar, Bhoomi Pujan of an IT Park in Ujjain, and a sports promotion program in Bhopal. The event will also feature the inauguration of a pond beautification project in Sagar, a Chintan Shivir, a cabinet meeting at Raja Bhabhut Singh Smriti in Narmadapuram (Pachmarhi), and a dialogue program with students at Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal. Benefits under various government schemes will also be distributed throughout the festival, marking a comprehensive celebration of progress and development. A variety of events such as river-linking programs, forest fairs, cultural programs, and the unveiling of government projects will take place during the 16-day festival across Gwalior, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Sagar, and Pachmarhi. The state government will also share its achievements with the citizens during this period.
During the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura outlined the plan for the 47-day Chief Minister Jan-Kalyan Abhiyan, scheduled from December 11, 2024, to January 26, 2025. Inter-departmental teams of officers and employees will be formed in each district to identify beneficiaries, collect their applications, and organize camps. To ensure effective monitoring, a sector officer will be assigned to each Panchayat level. Pending cases from the camps will be resolved by January 26, 2025. Benefits will be distributed to beneficiaries during the camps and at Gram Sabhas organized on Republic Day, making the event a comprehensive drive for public welfare.
State Government’s Annual Achievements to be Shared
On 13th December, marking the completion of one year under the leadership of CM Dr. Yadav , development works worth over 630 crore rupees will be inaugurated and foundation stones will be laid in Bhopal. A bike rally will be organized from Bhopal, Sehore, and Raisen to Ratapani Sanctuary. Exhibitions showcasing the public welfare initiatives and achievements of the government over the past year will be organized at all district headquarters. The unveiling of the logo and theme for the 2025 Industries Conclave will also be held, alongside performances by the Madhya Pradesh Police Band.
A variety of programs will be organized in Gwalior, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Sagar, and Pachmarhi during the 16-day Jan Kalyan Parv. Events will include a river linking campaign, forest fairs, police band performances, the Tansen Samaroh in Gwalior, and the inauguration of a convention center. Initiatives like the Akshaya Patra program and similar welfare schemes will also be highlighted. Additionally, the state government’s achievements over the past year will be showcased and shared with the citizens, making the festival a comprehensive celebration of progress and development.
Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Rajesh Rajoura gave a presentation of the works to be done during the campaign and the festival. Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Rajendra Shukla, Shri Jagdish Devda, Labor Minister Shri Prahlad Singh Patel and other public representatives who joined the meeting virtually also gave their suggestions. On this occasion, MP Shri V.D. Sharma, Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, DGP Shri Kailash Makwana, Additional Chief Secretaries and Principal Secretaries of the concerned departments were present.
