CM Dr. Yadav : Kshipra will be clean, uninterrupted and flowing due to the states unique Kanh Diversion and other integrated projects

CM Dr. Yadav has said that in Simhastha-2028 and the upcoming Simhasthas, saints, mahants and devotees will take bathe only with the water of Kshipra. For this, on completion of the works of Kanh Diversion Close Duct Project, Sevarkhedi-Silarkhedi Medium Project and Hariyakhedi Project, these schemes will work in an integrated manner. CM Dr. Yadav said that three objectives will be achieved simultaneously through these projects. With these projects, the holy river Kshipra will remain clean and flowing, while also providing a continuous supply of drinking water to the district. This is the first such project in the country and the state, the central government will also be informed about it.

CM Dr. Yadav  reviewed the action plan and progress of water supply for Simhastha-2028 in Ujjain on Friday. He directed the officials to pay special attention to the quality of the works and complete all the works within the time limit. In the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the action plan to make Kshipra clean, uninterrupted, flowing and to provide drinking water to the district from Kshipra river.

CM Dr. Yadav said that this action plan of integrated projects has been prepared keeping in view the population by the year 2055. Through the Kanh Diversion Close Duct Project, the unclean water of Kanh river will be treated and clean water will be released in Gambhir downstream. Water will be supplied continuously to Kshipra from Silarkhedi-Sewarkhedi Barrage, due to which Kshipra will remain uninterrupted and flowing. As the Hariyakhedi project is upstream of Triveni, pure water of Kshipra river will be obtained from here, due to which drinking water will be supplied continuously to the district.

CM Dr. Yadav ,Collector Shri Neeraj Kumar Singh informed that in the Kanh Diversion Close Duct Project, the work of cleaning the Kshipra river will be undertaken by separating the water of Kanh river from the closed duct 12 km long tunnel and 18.15 km closed duct. By constructing barrage, balancing tank etc. in the Sevarkhedi-Silarkhedi project, water will be available in Kshipra throughout the year through gravity from the Silarkhedi tank to Triveni Ghat pipeline, due to which Kshipra will remain flowing and uninterrupted. Drinking water will be continuously available to the district uninterruptedly from the Hariyakhedi Water Treatment Plant and Barrage Project.

CM Dr. Yadav ,Ujjain in-charge minister Shri Gautam Tetwal, divisional commissioner Shri Sanjay Gupta, ADGP Shri Umesh Joga, DIG Shri Navneet Bhasin, Superintendent of Police Shri Pradeep Sharma, public representatives Shri Vivek Joshi, Shri Bahadur Singh Bormundla etc. were present in the meeting.

CM Dr. Yadav reached the residence in Geeta Colony on Friday afternoon and paid tribute to social worker and his aunt Late Smt. Annapurna Devi by offering a wreath on her mortal remains.
