On the occasion of Sagar’s Pride Day and Jankalyan Parv, CM Mohan Yadav has said that a Cancer Hospital and Law Faculty will be started at Rani Avantibai University in Sagar. On Wednesday 25th December, the Ken-Betwa link project is going to be started on the 100th birth anniversary of Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, will change the picture and destiny of Bundelkhand. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that he was happy to honour the personalities who brought glory to Sagar at the national and international levels. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Lakha Banjara provided relief to the people from the problem of drinking water by constructing a lake here. These great works of his are always remembered. I salute him for his greatness.
CM Mohan Yadav extended congratulations and best wishes to the citizens on Sagar Pride Day and Jankalyan Parv. On this occasion, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami was present as a special guest. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Bundelkhand is known for the bravery and sacrifice of Maharaja Chhatrasal and Alha-Udal. Now a new history of Bundelkhand region will be written when Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi lays the foundation of the Ken-Betwa Link Project to realise the dream vision of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Shri Vajpayee on 25th December in Khajuraho of Chhatarpur district. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav made the people present at the programme take a pledge to come to the Bhoomi pujan programme of the project. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also announced to give Municipal Council status to Gaurjhamar, Nagar Panchayat to Banda Bara, and Nagar Panchayat status to Narayawali.
CM Mohan Yadav of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that many rejuvenation works have been done by the government for the development of Sagar, which includes the work of restoration, redevelopment and beautification of Lakha Banjara Lake. With this, the water level of Sagar city will remain balanced. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and his entire team provided a new direction to the development of the state. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Dhami said that today the redevelopment and beautification work of development schemes worth more than Rs 100 crore is being completed here. With all these works, Dr. Yadav’s government has established a strong foundation for the bright future of Madhya Pradesh in its very first year. I have full confidence that Madhya Pradesh will develop more rapidly under the leadership of Dr. Yadav in his upcoming tenure.
Chief Minister Shri Dhami said that when I received the invitation to participate in the programme with CM Mohan Yadav , I remembered my childhood days spent in Sagar. I have many memories of this place in my mind, today all those memories became fresh. He said I have come to my native place. Sagar is not just a city for me but an inseparable part of my life. My father was posted here in the Mahar Regiment and at that time his posting was in Sagar. I will have an unending relationship with this land. Chief Minister Shri Dhami said that today there is a double-engine government in the entire country, which is developing very fast.
Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that the presence of two Chief Ministers here on the occasion of Sagar’s Gaurav Diwas is further boosting the pride of Sagar. Recalling the contribution of late Dr. Sir Harisingh Gour, a true son of this land, makes this moment even more important. This is a moment to remember his contribution and glorious history.
Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput said that the present form of Sagar’s identity “Lakha Banjara Lake” fills the hearts of Sagar residents with joy. Earlier this lake was relatively neglected, which the state government beautified and revived by giving the gift of development works. He demanded from CM Mohan Yadav to open a cancer department in Bundelkhand Medical College of Sagar division, appointment of gynaecologists and opening a neuro surgery department in relation to head injuries.
MLA and former minister Shri Gopal Bhargava said that earlier people used to call Sagar city a big town. Many development works have been undertaken here under the Smart City Scheme and the entire Bundelkhand including Sagar has got a new direction. Earlier there was no four lane road in this area, now new access roads are being built, railway lines are being laid. Continuous development work has been done in the field of education and medicine.
On this occasion, MLA and former minister Shri Bhupendra Singh expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Modi and said that Smart City Mission was started in the year 2016. At that time 7 smart cities of Madhya Pradesh were selected, which also included Sagar. In this, Sagar got one thousand crore rupees for Smart City. Under the Smart City Mission, an elevated corridor was built and many other development works were done. Shri Singh said that during the 20 years, the government has given many gifts of development.
MLA Shri Shailendra Jain, while delivering the welcome speech, said that the people of Sagar have received many gifts of development works under the leadership of CM Mohan Yadav in the last one year. Today we are all overwhelmed and citizens greet him.
Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in charge of Sagar Shri Rajendra Shukla, MLAs, public representatives and a large number of citizens were present in the programme. Municipal Corporation Mayor Smt. Sangeeta Sushil Tiwari expressed gratitude.
Personalities of Sagar honoured on Gaurav Diwas
On the occasion of Sagar Gaurav Diwas, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav honoured the personalities of Sagar, including Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Dhami, who has made Sagar famous all over the country and abroad, by presenting shawl, shrifal and statue of Dr. Harisingh Gour. Among them were Padma Shri Ramsahay Pandey folk artist, Shri Govind Namdev actor, Major General Krishnan, Shri Arun Bhatt retired IAS, Dr. Skand Trivedi senior cardiologist, Shri Gaurav Bharill IRS, Shri Anoop Jain IRS, Shri Ramesh K Dave retired PCCF.
Dedication and Bhoomi Pujan of development works
CM Mohan Yadav transferred an amount of more than 26 crores to the accounts of more than 24 lakh Ladli Behnas under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. He dedicated the renovation and redevelopment works of Lakha Banjara lake, statue of Lakha Banjara, Smart City Governance/Municipal Corporation Office and two zonal centers. He also dedicated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of many development works including the 100-bed hospital under construction in District Hospital Sagar.
