MP Minister Rajput : Review of Millers Policy and Procurement Policy in the Ministry
MP Minister Rajput : Encourage the millers doing good work and take action against those who are not working as per the rules. Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput gave these instructions during the review of Millers Policy and Procurement Policy of Paddy, Jowar, Bajra. He said that in case of negligence by the millers, action should be taken to confiscate their security deposit. Shri Rajput instructed the millers to ensure timely milling of paddy and depositing the rice with the agencies.
All facilities should be available at the procurement center
Food Minister Shri Rajput said that all necessary facilities should be available to the farmers at the procurement centres. He said that photographs of convenient procurement centers should be called.Pay close attention to quality control. Also keep an eye on the surveyor who checks the quality. Minister Shri Rajput said that a proposal should be prepared to create a new cadre of surveyors.Procurement centers should make proper arrangements to prevent illegal sale of produce brought from neighboring states. High quality gunny bags should be used. Get verification and certification of measuring instruments and scales of all markets, procurement centers and storage centers done. There was also discussion regarding linking the Central Government institutions, National Consumer Cooperative Federation (NCCF) and Central Stores with the procurement work.
Food Minister Shri Rajput directed that before releasing the milling policy for the year 2024-25, a favorable and cooperative environment should be created in the state for small and big millers and the Central Government organization NCCF and Central Stores which are getting involved in the procurement work for the first time. Go. He said that to make the procurement work simple and convenient, one officer each from Warehousing Corporation and Civil Supplies Corporation should be appointed as nodal officer. With this, any type of problem of the agency involved in the procurement work can be resolved immediately.
It was told in the meeting that mapping will be done from the procurement center to the millers or warehouse, through this, accurate information about the transportation of the procured grains will be available. It has been decided to clean grains with machines in Mandla as a pilot project. If the project here is successful, it will be implemented in the entire state.
