MP NEWS : A special session on the theme “Deriving Maximum Impact Out of Aadhaar” was organised at the AI Bharat @ MP workshop at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre, Bhopal. Representatives from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) shared insights on how Aadhaar authentication is enabling Social Welfare, Innovation, and Knowledge (SWIK)-based good governance with greater efficiency.
Shri Amod Kumar, Deputy Director General of UIDAI, highlighted the effectiveness of Aadhaar and the best practices adopted by various states. He introduced UIDAI’s AI-based facial authentication system, noting that it has significantly enhanced the agility of Aadhaar services while also improving data security for beneficiaries.
Shri Sumit Anand from UIDAI’s Technology Centre in Bengaluru provided a detailed technical overview of the new system.
Shri Saurabh Kumar Tiwari, Additional Secretary, DBT Mission, Government of India, stated that the recent technological advancements in Aadhaar authentication have helped overcome several practical challenges in Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes, making implementation more seamless.
In the concluding session, Shri Sumit Mishra, Director of UIDAI Madhya Pradesh, emphasised that such workshops help the organisation understand the unique needs of different states. These interactions offer valuable insights for strengthening the Aadhaar service framework and tailoring it to better meet beneficiary requirements, thereby maximising its utility across all levels of governance.
