Mukhtar Ansari is laid to rest, Huge Crowd Gathers in Ghazipur and post-mortem reveals cause of death
Mukhtar Ansari’s post-mortem was conducted at the Rani Durgavati Medical College and Umar Ansari, the younger son of Mukhtar Ansari, was there.
As Ansari was buried today, thousands of people gathered in front of his home and the Ghazipur cemetery. The politician-gangster died on Thursday night after going into cardiac arrest.
Townwide security was increased as residents yelled “Mukhtar Ansari zindabaad.” On Friday night, at midnight, Ansari’s body was returned to his hometown.
Mr. Ansari’s legacy is both adored and feared in Ghazipur, where an ambulance carrying his remains traveled through districts including Prayagraj, Bhadohi, Kaushambi, and Varanasi. The convoy of 26 vehicles included 24 police cars.
Murder suspect Ansari passed away in a Banda hospital while incarcerated. A heart arrest caused his death. But according to his relatives, he was given “slow poison” by the local government.
Umar and Abbas Ansari, the sons of Mr. Ansari, with their mother and two cousins, were in the ambulance driving. Given Mr. Ansari’s problematic record and the delicate nature of the situation, the UP government prepared the route anticipating security issues.
How did Mukhtar Ansari die?
On Thursday night at 8:25 p.m., Mr. Ansari was carried to the hospital. He was treated by a group of nine physicians, but he passed away in the process.
Mukhtar Ansari’s older brother Sibgatullah Ansari said he wasn’t treated well.

Under condition of anonymity, a top hospital source with oversight over the Friday post-mortem examination and access to the report stated that “the cause of death of Mukhtar Ansari was found to be heart attack (myocardial infarction).”Five doctors on a panel performed the autopsy.
