Aaliya and Nawazuddin Siddiqui Reconcile, Collaborate on Ad Film
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his wife Aaliya, who have been through a tumultuous period in their personal lives, have put aside their differences for their children. And now, they are collaborating professionally as well where she will be producing Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s upcoming ad film. However, Aaliya’s involvement in the film industry has recently been overshadowed by serious allegations of fraud.
After much speculation about their relationship, Aaliya confirmed that she and Nawazuddin Siddiqui have reconciled for the well-being of their children. In an exclusive statement to ETimes, Aaliya shared, “Nawazuddin Siddiqui and I have set aside our differences, and we are moving forward. He will be working in an ad film that I will be producing, and we are looking forward to starting work soon.”
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Aaliya have faced their share of challenges, both in their personal lives and in the media. However, Aaliya’s decision to produce the ad film alongside her husband comes at a time when they are both looking to move forward from the turmoil of the past.
Aaliya Responds to Allegations of Fraud
In recent weeks, Aaliya has been at the center of controversy after reports surfaced alleging that she had swindled Rs 46 lakh from Komal Seth, a business associate with whom she was involved in the venture Holy Cow. The reports claimed that Aaliya had refused to repay the money invested in the project, sparking a public dispute.
Responding to these allegations, Aaliya has strongly denied any wrongdoing. She explained that her agreement with Komal was a profit-sharing arrangement, not a loan repayment. She clarified that Komal and her had an agreement to share the earnings from the movie. She further stated that there was never any promise of repayment and that both parties were meant to bear the profits and losses from the project.
Aaliya also expressed her intention to clear her name and take legal action. She also said that she is going to file a defamation suit in order to clear her name, as these fraud and cheating allegations were damaging her reputation.
Komal Seth’s Claims and Aaliya’s Response
In an interview with Bhasker, Komal Seth had claimed that Aaliya only managed to repay Rs 5 lakh after repeated follow-ups. Aaliya, however, refuted this claim, explaining that she made the repayment out of goodwill and in support of Komal’s daughter. “I gave that money for the sake of her daughter. According to our agreement, I don’t owe Komal anything. The money I repaid was a gesture beyond our professional deal,” she said.
Aaliya also acknowledged that producing the film was challenging, especially since it was her first project as a producer. Nevertheless, she successfully managed to get Holy Cow a theatrical release, despite the difficulties she faced along the way.
Komal Seth’s Legal Action and Aaliya’s Rebuttal
The situation escalated further when Komal Seth filed an NCR (Non-Cognizable Report) against Aaliya, accusing her of making threatening phone calls. According to Komal, the police are trying to contact Aaliya, but she has not been cooperating, especially since she moved to Dubai. Komal also mentioned that she had sent a legal notice to Nawazuddin’s bungalow regarding the non-payment of dues from Holy Cow.
However, Aaliya vehemently denied the accusations of threats and claimed that the reports about her were false. “These are baseless allegations that are affecting my image. I have never given any threats or received any calls from the cops. I also plan to sue the news agencies for spreading these fake reports,” Aaliya stated.
