“NCGG Launches Fourth Batch of Internship Programme: Promoting Excellence in Governance and Policy Research”

The National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) is excited to announce the start of the 4th batch of its Internship Programme on January 20th, 2025. After a thorough selection process, 16 exceptional candidates have been chosen from a pool of 1,438 applications received in September and October 2024. These candidates come from diverse regions of India and possess impressive academic and professional backgrounds.

The selected interns represent esteemed institutions both nationally and internationally, including the University of Birmingham, University of Nottingham, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Jamia Hamdard University, Madras School of Economics, Pondicherry University, Presidency University, University of Lucknow, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, New Delhi, among others.

This short-term Internship Programme, with a duration of 8 weeks to 6 months, is designed to offer these talented individuals hands-on experience with critical governance issues and policy implementation processes. Guided by renowned mentors and experts, the interns will conduct in-depth research on various governance-related topics.

The research focus of this 4thbatch of interns covers critical governance and policy issues. Their diverse focus areas include:

At the conclusion of the Internship Programme, each intern will submit a research paper on their chosen topic. These papers will be sent to the relevant Ministries and Departments of the Government of India for consideration in policy recommendations. Additionally, the research papers will be compiled into a compendium, which will be made publicly available on the NCGG’s website.

With this internship, NCGG reaffirms its dedication to nurturing young talent and promoting the principles of good governance, in line with its vision of achieving excellence in public administration and policy development.
