NEET-UG 2024: According to the deputy chief minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav’s assistant set up lodging for the engineer Sikander Kumar Yadavendu, who was involved in the leak.
NEET-UG 2024 : On Thursday, Bihar deputy chief minister Vijay Kumar Sinha asserted that RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s assistant was involved in the purported paper leaks and inconsistencies in NEET-UG 2024. At a press conference in Patna, Vijay Kumar Sinha claimed that on May 1 and 4, Pritam Kumar—the personal secretary of Tejashwi Yadav while he was a minister—got in touch with a worker at the Bihar road construction department to reserve a room for Sikander Kumar Yadavendu, the engineer who was involved in the NEET-UG question paper leak.
“On May 1, Tejashwi Yadav’s personal secretary Pritam Kumar called Pradip Kumar to book a room for Sikander Kumar Yadavendu…On May 4, Pritam Kumar called Pradip Kumar again to book the room,” Sinha said.
“Pritam Kumar, Tejashwi Yadav’s personal secretary when he was a minister in the previous government, used the term’mantri ji,'” he continued.
The BJP leader questioned Tejashwi Yadav on Pritam Kumar’s continued role as his personal secretary.
Tejashwi Yadav needs to make it clear whether Pritam Kumar is still his PS and identify Sikander Kumar Yadavendu. Sikander Kumar Yadavendu used to work for Lalu Prasad Yadav when he was imprisoned in Ranchi. He worked in the irrigation department as a junior engineer.”
They tinker with people’s futures. He said, “They try to sway the appointment process and commit scams when they are in power.”
Sikander Kumar Yadavendu, a junior engineer working for the Danapur Nagar Parishad in Bihar, wrote a confession letter that fueled the ongoing scandal surrounding the NEET-UG 2024 exam.
India Today claims that a “Mantri Ji” allegedly made arrangements for an engineer’s relative who was applying for NEET, his mother, and other acquaintances to stay at a Patna government mansion. Yadavendu allegedly acknowledged in his confession to having helped four NEET applicants and one of their guardians find housing in Patna. A “Mantri Ji” was named in the guest house’s rudimentary bill book, and it was said that he helped Yadav and his friends stay.
On June 4, the NEET-UG 2024 results were released. There was a commotion following the results’ announcement, with numerous students claiming inconsistencies.
Thirteen individuals, including four examinees and their families, have been taken into custody by the Bihar Police’s Economic Offences Unit (EOU) thus far in relation to the purported NEET-UG 2024 paper leak case. Deputy Inspector General (DIG), EOU Manavjit Singh Dhillon stated that all of the suspects are from Bihar.
Ahilesh Kumar, whose son Ayush was also taken into custody from the DAV school, revealed that Sikander Prasad Yadvendu had promised him he would pass the NEET exam and had wanted ₹40 lakh in exchange for collecting his exam papers.
Similarly, Reena Kumari, another culprit, informed police that her kid studied in Kota and that her uncle Sikander Yadav guaranteed her a perfect score on the NEET exam. Anurag Yadav was also taken into custody from an examination center. Sikander set up a meeting between Nitish Kumar and the arrested Amit Anand.
In his police confession, Sikander said that he was assured of success in managing any competitive papers by Amit and Nitish. He told the police, “They wanted ₹30–32 lakh from each candidate, but I wanted ₹40 lakh from each candidate to pocket ₹8-lakh.”
