Nora Fatehi faces a Rs 3 crore defamation suit from Dunes Aviation over alleged “Lego airplane” comments about its chartered aircraft.
Bollywood actor and dancer Nora Fatehi is facing a legal dispute after aviation company Dunes Aviation filed a Rs 3 crore civil defamation suit against her. The company has alleged that comments made by the actor about its chartered aircraft on social media harmed its reputation and business.
The matter has been filed before a court in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Senior Civil Judge R Agarwal is scheduled to hear the case on September 25.
‘Lego Airplane’ Comment Leads to Legal Action
According to the lawsuit, Nora Fatehi travelled on a Mumbai-Jaipur flight in December last year aboard a Cessna Citation CJ2 aircraft operated by Dunes Aviation. The company claims that she recorded videos during the journey and later shared them on Instagram.
In the alleged videos, Fatehi reportedly referred to the aircraft using descriptions including “miniature,” “toy” and “Lego airplane.” Dunes Aviation has objected to these remarks and claimed that they were made without proper technical knowledge or verification.
Aviation Firm Claims Business Was Affected
Dunes Aviation has alleged that the social media comments had a significant impact because of Nora Fatehi’s large online following. The company claims that the posts resulted in booking cancellations and negatively affected its commercial operations.
According to the suit, the aviation company estimates that its bookings declined by around 15–20%, while cancellations increased following the controversy.
The company has described the alleged remarks as irresponsible and damaging to its goodwill. It has also claimed that the statements caused reputational and commercial losses.

Dunes Aviation Defends Its Aircraft
The aviation company has rejected any suggestion that the aircraft was unsuitable or unsafe for the journey. It stated that the Cessna Citation CJ2 used for the flight was a standard aircraft and appropriately sized for the route.
Dunes Aviation further claimed that the aircraft was DGCA-certified, airworthy and being operated legally under a valid Non-Scheduled Operator’s Permit (NSOP).
Company Seeks Rs 3 Crore in Damages
Apart from seeking Rs 3 crore in damages, Dunes Aviation has requested additional relief from the court. The company wants social media material containing the alleged comments or references to the aircraft to be removed.
It has also sought a public clarification from Nora Fatehi regarding the remarks at the centre of the dispute.
Case Filed in April
The civil defamation case was filed in April, according to the information contained in the lawsuit. Dunes Aviation has argued that the actor’s substantial social media reach amplified the alleged impact of the comments.
For now, the allegations made in the lawsuit remain claims by the aviation company, and the court is yet to consider the matter. The next significant development is expected when the case comes up for hearing on September 25.
The legal dispute puts Nora Fatehi at the centre of a controversy involving social media comments, aviation standards and alleged business losses. The court proceedings will determine how the claims and relief sought by Dunes Aviation are addressed.
