Nvidia has entered one of the fastest-growing gaming markets in the world by formally launching early access to its GeForce Now cloud gaming service in India. Users can sign up through a queue to receive invitations on a first-come, first-served basis while the service is still in testing.
With GeForce Now, players can stream PC games straight from the cloud, doing away with the need for pricey, powerful gear. The platform supports game collections from popular platforms including Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Game Pass, Ubisoft Connect, and GOG and functions flawlessly on PCs, Macs, smartphones, smart TVs, and portable gaming devices.

Nvidia has launched 90-day subscription passes as part of its early access offering, with prices of Rs. 999 for the Performance tier and Rs. 1,999 for the Ultimate tier. For the same amount of time, users can also choose to purchase an extra 200GB of persistent storage for Rs. 299. In order to further increase accessibility, the company has stated that a free tier would be launched in the upcoming weeks.
Nvidia’s Blackwell-based RTX 5080 SuperPOD architecture, which the firm claims offers up to 2.8 times quicker performance than prior generations and more than three times the capability of leading consoles, powers the launch in India. Advanced capabilities like AI-driven rendering, ray tracing, and DLSS are made possible by each instance’s 62 teraflops of processing power and 48GB frame buffer.
Regarding performance, streaming at up to 5K resolution at 120 frames per second is supported by the Ultimate tier. Additionally, it has a low-latency mode with a latency of less than 30 milliseconds that uses Nvidia Reflex technology to deliver up to 1080p at 360 frames per second. For enhanced visual quality and motion clarity, a Cinematic Quality Streaming option also makes use of AV1 compression, AI-powered video upgrades, 4:4:4 chroma, and 10-bit HDR.
