In compliance with the directions of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma to enhance the retainer fees of advocates representing state govt in various revenue courts, Revenue Department issued revised orders on Friday.
The increased fees for government advocates will come into effect from September 1.To ensure implementation of CM Bhajan Lal instructions, the monthly retainer fees of full-time government advocates handling state cases in the Revenue Board, Ajmer, subordinate revenue courts, divisional commissioners, district collectors, additional district magistrates, and revenue appellate authorities have been revised.
According to Revenue Department Deputy Secretary Shri Harisingh Meena:

In the Revenue Board, Ajmer, the State Advocate will receive ₹11,250, the Additional State Advocate ₹10,200, and the Deputy State Advocate ₹9,000 per month.

Advocates appearing in the courts of Divisional Commissioners and Additional Divisional Commissioners will get ₹6,000 monthly.

In the district collector and additional collector courts of Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Kota, Sriganganagar, Jodhpur, Nagaur, and Pali, advocates will also receive ₹6,000 per month.

In Bundi, Jhalawar, Tonk, Jalore, Sirohi, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Baran, and Rajsamand, the fee will be ₹4,500 per month.

In Banswara, Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, Dungarpur, Dholpur, Jaisalmer, Hanumangarh, and Karauli, advocates will get ₹3,000 per month.

For other districts’ collector and additional collector courts, the fee has been fixed at ₹4,500 per month.

For cases in the Revenue Appellate Authority and its camp courts, the fee will be ₹3,000 per month.
In addition to the revised retainer fees, advocates will now receive increased payments for judicial responsibilities, including:

₹700 for replies,

₹25 per page for dictation and typing,
-
₹2 per page for photocopies,
-
₹200 towards Advocate Welfare Fund,

₹60 for stationery, file covers, and tags,
-
₹100 for each certificate/affidavit attestation,
-
₹200 for other legal expenses.
