Watch Sky Force Now on Prime Video! The Film Starring Akshay Kumar and Debutant Veer Pahariya is Available for Streaming.
After its theatrical release earlier this year, Sky Force, the debut film of Akshay Kumar and newcomer Veer Pahariya, is now available for streaming. The patriotic drama, which initially hit theaters on January 24, 2025, aligning with Republic Day celebrations, has made its way to Prime Video India. The movie will be available to stream starting from March 21, 2025, marking a significant milestone for the film’s journey. Both Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya shared a fun, lighthearted reel on Instagram to announce the release, featuring them dancing to the catchy hookstep from the song “Rang.”

OTT Release of Sky Force: Now Streaming on Prime Video
Despite the movie’s strong box office collection, Sky Force was labeled a flop due to its high production budget. The film grossed ₹1,113.60 crores domestically and ₹149.99 crores globally, which is impressive by many standards but fell short of covering its ₹160 crore budget. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapoor and Sandeep Kewlani, the film features a stellar cast including Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Nimrat Kaur, and Sara Ali Khan. The storyline of Sky Force is rooted in the events surrounding the 1965 India-Pakistan airstrike, particularly India’s strike on the Sargodha airbase.
For fans who missed the theatrical release, Sky Force is now available for streaming on Prime Video India from March 21, 2025. The digital release marks a second chance for viewers to experience the high-octane, emotional drama that was praised for its gripping narrative. Akshay Kumar, who plays a central role in the film, and Veer Pahariya, making his debut, shared an entertaining Instagram reel to celebrate the film’s OTT debut. The reel features both actors dancing to the popular song “Rang,” adding a fun touch to the otherwise intense patriotic film.
About Sky Force: Storyline & Plot
Set between 1965 and 1988, Sky Force follows a story of bravery and patriotism. Akshay Kumar plays Squadron Leader K.O. Ahuja, a military officer based on the real-life hero Om Prakash Taneja, who was awarded the Vir Chakra for his bravery. Veer Pahariya, in his debut role, plays Ahuja’s wingman, TK Vijaya, inspired by Ajjamada Boppayya Devayya, who was awarded the Maha Vir Chakra for his courage. The film tells the story of their dedication and sacrifices during challenging times.
The plot of Sky Force revolves around an escalating conflict between India and Pakistan in the 1960s. Initially, Squadron Leader Ahuja proposes a preemptive strike after detecting a looming attack from Pakistan, but his suggestion is rejected due to India’s commitment to peace. However, after an attack on an Indian airbase, Ahuja leads a daring counteroffensive against Pakistan’s Sargodha base, which houses advanced jets supplied by the United States.
The situation takes a tragic turn when Vijaya disobeys orders and goes missing during the mission. This sets the stage for Ahuja to embark on a perilous mission to find his comrade and bring him back safely, despite the risks involved. Sky Force explores themes of heroism, sacrifice, and the complex emotions of soldiers involved in wartime operations.

Sky Force boasts a talented ensemble cast that brings the intense drama to life. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Squadron Leader K.O. The supporting cast includes prominent actors such as Nimrat Kaur, Sara Ali Khan, Sharad Kelkar, Mohit Chauhan, and Varun Badola, who deliver strong performances that elevate the film’s emotional impact.
