Padakkalam, the latest Malayalam release starring Arun Ajikumar, is having a modest run at the box office. Despite limited pre-release buzz, the film has shown steady growth over its first five days, managing to cross the ₹3 crore mark.
Day-Wise Box Office Performance
The Film opened with collections of ₹24 lakhs on Day 1 — a relatively low but expected figure given the minimal promotions and hype. Surprisingly, the film saw a healthy 83% jump on Day 2, collecting ₹44 lakhs. This upward trend continued into the weekend, with the film earning ₹80 lakhs on Day 3, registering another 81% jump.
On Day 4, the movie crossed into the ₹1 crore club with ₹1.09 crore, showing a stable 36% growth compared to Day 3.
Day 5 brought in an estimated ₹80 lakhs, bringing the total box office collection of Padakkalam to approximately ₹3.37 crores.

While the film isn’t setting the box office on fire, the consistent upward trend over the first few days indicates decent word-of-mouth traction. However, given the competitive release window and limited marketing, the film’s long-term prospects remain uncertain.
