Actor Daisy Shah, who is set to star in Palaash upcoming directorial venture, recently shared her thoughts on the composer-turned-filmmaker and his family. Speaking to Filmygyan, she said, “Palaash Muchhal is very good as a person. I have met him a couple of times, and it’s been a pleasure getting to know him. His family is beautiful, grounded, and very positive. They believe in God, which I think reflects their nature perfectly.”

Daisy also highlighted her personal bond with Palaash Muchhal, adding, “I first met him through his sister, Palak, who had done a song for Jai Ho. I frequently attend family celebrations at their home, like birthdays and Ganpati Pooja, and that’s when I got to know more about him and his work as a music composer and director.”

The Controversy Behind Palaash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana’s Split

Palaash and Smriti Mandhana were scheduled to marry on November 25, but the wedding was cancelled on the day itself. Initial reports suggested that Smriti’s father had fallen ill and was hospitalized. Soon after, rumors began circulating that Palaash  had allegedly cheated, which he strongly denied. Both he and his family faced widespread trolling on social media during this period.

In an emotional Instagram post, Palaash Muchhal addressed the situation, stating, “I have decided to move on in my life and step back from my personal relationship. It’s been very difficult for me to see people react so easily to baseless rumours about something which has been most sacred to me… I truly hope we, as a society, learn to pause before judging someone based on unverified gossip.”

Despite the personal turmoil, Palaash has resumed his professional commitments and is now focused on his directorial debut. The upcoming film will star Shreyas Talpade and Daisy Shah in lead roles.
