Park Seo Joon Takes Legal Action Against Restaurant From Hit K-Drama Set
Park Seo Joon has filed a lawsuit against a restaurant for the unauthorized use of his image, demanding 60 million KRW in damages. The restaurant in question, known for being a filming location for his hit drama What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim, allegedly continued to use photos of the actor for promotional purposes without legal consent.

According to Park Seo Joon’s legal team, repeated requests were made for the restaurant to remove advertisements and banners featuring his image, which were being used for portal site promotions. However, the restaurant reportedly ignored all requests, prompting legal action.
“The lawsuit began due to the continuation of malicious acts despite multiple notices,” his legal team stated. “While the model fee damage is estimated at 6 billion KRW, the lawsuit seeks 60 million KRW in consideration of the restaurant’s business scale.”
The actor’s agency also announced further legal steps would be taken against those spreading hate or false criticism toward the actor in light of this case. Some netizens expressed concern about the lawsuit targeting a small business, but many supported Park, citing the importance of image rights and legal boundaries.
This legal battle stems from the restaurant’s use of a scene where Park Seo Joon was filmed eating crab, which has since been used in marketing materials without his approval. Despite the restaurant’s role in a popular drama, the continued commercial exploitation has now led to formal legal proceedings.
