Patrick Schwarzenegger recently joked about joining the iconic duo of his father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and actor Danny DeVito in a potential sequel to the 1988 comedy film Twins. While the comment was made in jest, it highlights the enduring popularity of the Twins franchise. A sequel titled Triplets was in development, initially featuring Eddie Murphy as a third brother, and later Tracy Morgan. However, the project stalled following the death of director Ivan Reitman in 2022. Arnold Patrick Schwarzenegger expressed disappointment, stating that Reitman’s son, Jason Reitman, halted the project despite the team’s enthusiasm and funding.
In the meantime, Arnold and Danny have continued their collaboration, with Arnold mentioning that he’s developing another movie with Danny.
As for Patrick Schwarzenegger, this recent role in HBO’s The White Lotus has garnered attention, including a memorable nude scene that surprised his father. Despite initial shock, Arnold praised Patrick’s performance, noting the intensity and depth he brought to his character.
While a Triplets film may not be on the horizon, the Schwarzenegger-DeVito duo continues to entertain audiences, and Patrick’s involvement in future projects remains a possibility.
