PM Modi expresses confidence that NDA will secure a historic victory in Bihar Assembly elections 2025 under CM Nitish Kumar, while targeting RJD over past law and order issues.
PM Modi on Friday addressed a massive election rally in Samastipur, kicking off the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) campaign for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. In his speech, PM Modi expressed strong confidence that the NDA will break all previous records and secure a historic mandate in Bihar under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Although PM Modi did not officially announce Nitish Kumar as the NDA’s CM candidate, his remarks signaled the alliance’s continued support for the incumbent Bihar Chief Minister. He stated, “This time, under the leadership of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, NDA will break all its previous records of victory. Bihar will give NDA its biggest ever mandate.”
The statement comes just a day after the Mahagathbandhan declared Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav as its CM face for the upcoming elections. Opposition leaders have been urging the NDA to clarify their chief ministerial candidate. Congress leader Ashok Gehlot remarked, “Our leader is Tejashwi Yadav. Now they should confirm who their Chief Minister is.”
During the rally, PM Modi also attacked the RJD for the law and order situation in Bihar during the Lalu Prasad Yadav-led government. He highlighted issues like extortion, kidnapping, and Maoist terrorism, which he claimed flourished under the RJD’s rule. PM Modi said, “The RJD’s jungle raj ruined generations of Bihar. The biggest sufferers were mothers, sisters, youth, Dalits, and backward classes. During this period, the doors of police stations were closed to the marginalized communities, and Naxalism spread extensively.”
PM Modi further emphasized how the NDA government tackled Naxalism and Maoist terrorism in Bihar after coming to power in 2014. He added, “In 2014, the people of Bihar gave the NDA an opportunity in Delhi. We have broken the back of Naxalism and Maoist terrorism in Bihar. Very soon, the entire state and country will be free from Maoist terror, and this is my guarantee.”
This rally marks the beginning of NDA’s intensive campaign efforts ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, where the alliance aims to secure a record-breaking mandate under Nitish Kumar’s leadership.
