Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday emphasized that 21st century India is characterized by bold decision-making, ambitious goals, and timely execution of plans. He made these remarks while addressing the Indian community in Muscat, the capital of Oman, during his two-day visit to the country.
“India today takes courageous and swift decisions, sets large-scale objectives, and ensures results are delivered within stipulated timelines,” PM Modi stated.
The Prime Minister also celebrated UNESCO’s recent recognition of Diwali, inscribing the festival on the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list. “Our traditional ‘diya’ will now illuminate not just Indian homes, but the entire world. This recognition highlights the spirit of hope, unity, and humanity that Diwali represents,” he added.

During the ‘Maitiri Parv’ event, PM Modi addressed Indian students and community members, stressing the enduring bond between India and Oman. “Our nations are connected not just by geography but also by shared histories and generations of cooperation,” he said.
Highlighting India’s rich cultural diversity, Modi remarked, “Our diversity forms the foundation of our culture. Every tradition carries new ideas, and wherever Indians go, we respect and honor this diversity.”
He also lauded the Indian diaspora for being a model of coexistence and cooperation. “You are the key custodians of these age-old ties,” he told the audience.
In a special message to the youth, PM Modi encouraged them to “Dream big, learn deeply, and innovate boldly,” inspiring the next generation to embrace ambition and creativity.
