With her 355th place finish in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Exam 2023—the results of which were released on Tuesday—Pragati Verma has brought honors to Rohtak and Haryana.

Pragati Verma, who is from Meham town nearby, placed second in the previous year’s Haryana Civil Services (HCS) examination. She is currently employed with Commissioner Ambala Division as OSD. Her mother works for the Department of Health, and her father teaches elementary school.
In Kurukshetra, she is married to Atul Verma. Pragati Verma is the daughter-in-law of IAS RC Verma, who was superannuated and held the position of deputy commissioner in four different districts: Palwal, Bhiwani, Rewari, and Nuh. She had a three-year-old boy, but she managed to do everything.

Pragati Verma has successfully completed the UPSC exam twice in a row. She was chosen for the allied services last year, but she chose to concentrate on her ultimate goal of becoming an IAS instead of joining. She also passed the HCS exam and started working in the interim. She proceeded to study diligently and completely for the tests at the same time. Today, at last, her wish came true,” Verma said over the phone
He continued by saying that everyone in the family was pleased for her and that they were receiving messages and calls of congratulations from other family members.
“For social service, the civil services platform is a good one. That’s why I thought it was better than medical science. My top priorities will be gender sensitization, women’s empowerment, and the state’s overall growth, Pragati declared.
Remarkably, when Pragati Verma was chosen for the HCS last year, the Sawarnkar Community and other social groups honored her at a ceremony in Meham town.
