Comedian Pranit More has once again publicly apologised in connection with the ongoing Rs 370 biryani controversy, acknowledging mistakes during a crowd-work performance that later sparked widespread online criticism and legal scrutiny.
The controversy, which went viral on social media, has now escalated into a formal investigation after Maharashtra Cyber authorities registered an FIR linked to the incident. The case also involves other individuals connected to the online circulation of the content.
Apology and Admission of Mistake
In his latest statement, More expressed regret over his conduct during a live interaction at one of his shows. He admitted that the situation escalated quickly and he failed to manage the moment responsibly.
He said he allowed himself to be influenced by the environment during the performance and acknowledged that he could have intervened earlier instead of letting the exchange continue. He also noted that the backlash he is receiving is something he believes he has contributed to through his own actions.

The comedian further stated that he had been unable to address the matter earlier due to restrictions on his social media account, but now wanted to clarify his position publicly.

The FIR reportedly includes charges related to the circulation of allegedly obscene and objectionable digital content across online platforms. Alongside Pranit More, the case names several other individuals who are believed to be connected to the creation or distribution of the content.
Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and further action will depend on the findings of the inquiry.
