At Bharat Mandapam on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened the Bharat Tex-2024.
At Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the four-day international textile festival, Bharat Tex-2024. “This event is combining threads of India and the world, the way a loom joins threads together,” Modi remarked in his speech.
3,000 buyers, 40,000 trade visitors, and more than 3000 exhibitors from more than 100 countries have gathered for this event today. The purpose of this event has evolved into a forum for conversation among those involved in the textile ecosystem,” he stated.
According to PM Modi, his administration is trying to boost the textile industry’s role to creating a more developed India.
According to him, the Center is utilizing Fs to link every component of the textile value chain.
“This journey of the five F’s – farm, fibre, factory, fashion and foreign, in a way the whole scene is in front of us, keeping this principle of the five Fs in mind, we are encouraging farmers, MSMEs, and exports,” Modi stated.
In addition, PM Modi emphasized that the definition of Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSME) has been revised by the Union government with regard to turnover and investment.
This will enable businesses of all sizes to benefit from government initiatives. We have also attempted to close the gap that exists between the market and artists,” he continued.
The prime minister visited the exhibits and spoke with the exhibitors before the opening.
Darshana Jardosh and Piyush Goyal, two union ministers, were also present at the function.
With assistance from the Center, a group of 11 Textile Export Promotion Councils is organising Bharat Tex-2024.
In addition to policymakers, global CEOs, more than 3,500 exhibitors, more than 3,000 buyers from more than 100 countries, and more than 40,000 business visitors, the event will feature more than 65 knowledge sessions with more than 100 global panelists who will be discussing various issues relevant to the sector.

According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office on Sunday, the event is centered on a unified farm to foreign via fiber, fabric, and fashion focus, covering the full textiles value chain and taking inspiration from PM Modi’s 5F Vision.
The event featured interactive fabric testing zones, product demonstrations, fashion displays on several topics such Indian Textiles Heritage, sustainability, and global designers, as well as dedicated pavilions on sustainability and circularity.
More than fifty announcements and more than fifty Memorandums of Understanding are anticipated to be signed at the event.
The PMO statement stated that Bharat Tex-2024 will demonstrate India’s expertise in the textile industry and solidify its place as a major player in the world textile market. It is based on the twin pillars of trade and investment, with a primary focus on sustainability.
