Pariksha Pe Charcha : A historic achievement with more than 5 crore participants, including 3.56 crore registrations and 1.55 crore actively involved in nationwide ‘Jan Andolan’ activities.

Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), an initiative by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi aimed at turning exam-related stress into a celebration of learning, saw remarkable growth in its 8th edition. Launched in 2018, PPC has now become a nationwide movement, with a record-breaking 3.56 crore registrations in 2025, a significant increase from the 2.26 crore registrations in the 7th edition, marking a rise of 1.3 crore registrations.

Pariksha Pe Charcha has evolved from a popular program into a true “Jan Andolan” (people’s movement), resonating deeply with students, teachers, and parents nationwide. The initiative’s focus on addressing exam stress and encouraging students to see exams as a celebration – “Utsav” – has struck a chord with people across all walks of life. The immense participation in PPC reflects an increasing awareness of the significance of mental health and holistic education. The program’s interactive format, which allows for open discussions between students, teachers, and the Prime Minister, has been key to its success.

To strengthen Pariksha Pe Charcha PPC as a “Jan Andolan,” a series of engaging activities were held from 12th January 2025 (National Youth Day) to 23rd January 2025 (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti) at the school level. These activities, carried out across various States/UTs, aimed to involve students, parents, and teachers in celebrating PPC as a festival. A total of 1.42 crore students, 12.81 lakh teachers, and 2.94 lakh schools participated. The activities focused on reducing stress, improving concentration, and boosting performance during exams and beyond. Students took part in a wide array of activities, including traditional games like Kho-Kho and Kabaddi, short marathons, creative meme contests, Nukkad Natak performances, and poster-making. They also shared their experiences through testimonials, engaged in student-led discussions, and practiced yoga and meditation for relaxation and mindfulness. Schools organized student-led plays, held workshops, and invited guest speakers to provide valuable insights.

Pariksha Pe Charcha ,The activities culminated on 23rd January 2025 with the screening of the inspiring and heroic stories of bravery and sacrifice in the “Bharat Hai Hum” series. Following this, a quiz competition based on the series was organized across 567 Kendriya Vidyalayas nationwide. A total of 55,961 students participated, including 17,408 from Kendriya Vidyalayas, 4,567 from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, 5,542 from PM SHRI Schools, 18,394 from CBSE-affiliated schools, and 10,050 from State Board schools. Winners received prizes, and all participants were gifted a copy of the book “Exam Warriors,” written by the Prime Minister of India. This initiative not only tested students’ knowledge but also reinforced the important lessons shared through the “Bharat Hai Hum” series.

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 has once again emerged as a major success, reinforcing its role as a key initiative in promoting a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere for students throughout India.
