CM Bhajan : Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda said that Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar is remembered as a social reformer, who worked to restore culture and heritage. She considered the upliftment of women in her life as her only goal. Shri Nadda said that today the country is moving towards women-led development along with women empowerment under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Nari Shakti Vandan Act provides for 33 per cent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies.
Shri Nadda was addressing the Mahasammelan on Women Empowerment on the occasion of 300th Birth Anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar at Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) on Saturday. He said that taking inspiration from the ideals of Ahilyabai Holkar, on her 300th birth anniversary, the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma has dedicated women education and health programmes to women power. He described the Lado Protsahan Yojana of the state government as a good initiative towards improving the sex ratio and Garb Ki Pathshala Yojana as a good initiative towards women’s health.
The country has changed since 2014.
The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare said that the picture of the country has changed after 2014. The leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has worked to change the culture of politics. Now, instead of blaming, every section of society is being empowered. The Prime Minister has made accountability and responsibility the definition of politics. He said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, the State Government is engaged in public service day and night.
New health policy implemented with holistic approach
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a new health policy has been implemented in the country with a holistic approach. This includes from prevention to rehabilitation. He said that screening of serious diseases like cancer, diabetes is being done from the age of 30 years. 1 lakh 77 thousand Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have been built in the country providing access to health services.
He said that the Central Government has made a provision of 64 thousand crore rupees under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. Under this, Rs 3,000 crore will be spent in Rajasthan. There are 23 AIIMS in the country. 23 new medical colleges have been opened in Rajasthan. Under the Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme, 63 crore people of the country are being given health insurance up to Rs 5 lakh.
Devi Ahilyabai promoted social reforms: CM
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma in his address said that in the 18th century, Devi Ahilyabai became a symbol of Nari Shakti with her courage and wisdom. She promoted women’s education, religion, and social reforms. The reconstruction of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Somnath Temple and the renovation of many pilgrimage sites across the country are symbols of his religious and cultural contribution.
Unprecedented upliftment of Sanatan culture under the leadership of Prime Minister-
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government is working for the welfare of every section of the society including poor, women, youth, farmers through welfare schemes. He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, today we are witnessing the unprecedented upliftment of Sanatan culture. With his resolve, the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath corridor, the Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain, Kedarnath and Badrinath temples have got a divine and grand look.
5,000 villages in the state will be poverty-free.
CM Bhajan Sharma said that according to the successful Prime Minister, there are only four castes in this country – poor, youth, annadata and women. With his inspiration, our government is also working for the upliftment of these four classes. To realise the vision of poverty-free Rajasthan, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Garibi Mukt Gaon Yojana has been launched, under which necessary steps are being taken to bring BPL families of 5,000 villages above the poverty line in the first phase. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, more than 96 thousand urban and rural houses have been constructed and more than 5 lakh 48 thousand new houses have been sanctioned. 26 thousand pattas have been distributed to homeless BPL, nomadic and semi-nomadic families / individuals. Under the Swamitva scheme, 8 lakh Swamitva cards have been issued in the state.
7 lakh 80 thousand lakhpati didi in the state –
CM Bhajan said that 7 lakh 80 thousand Lakhpati Didi have been made by providing training to more than 14 lakh women under the Lakhpati Didi scheme. Under the Lado Incentive Scheme, a savings bond of Rs 1.5 lakh is being provided for the birth of 2 lakh 30 thousand girls. He said that the state government has procured 12 lakh metric tonnes of wheat last year and more than 17 lakh metric tonnes this year by giving bonus on the support price of wheat for the welfare of farmers. Similarly, more than 6,800 crore rupees have been transferred to more than 76 lakh farmers under the Kisan Samman Nidhi.
More than 67 thousand posts have been given, 1.87 lakh are under process –
CM BhajanSharma said that we have resolved to provide 4 lakh government jobs and 6 lakh jobs in the private sector. The state government has given appointments to more than 67 thousand posts and the process of recruitment to more than 1 lakh 87 thousand posts is in progress. Also, more than 65 thousand youth have been provided employment through job fairs and 3 lakh youth have been provided skill training. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the values of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar and the work done for public service and cultural upliftment would continue to inspire everyone.
Various gifts to women’s power –
Loans were distributed to 1,800 beneficiaries under the Lakhpati Didi Yojana and an amount of Rs 11 crore was transferred to 32,755 girls under the Lado Protsahan Yojana. Under the ST Pre-Matric Scheme, an amount of more than Rs 5 crore has been transferred to about 17 thousand girls and under the Balika Doorasthya Shiksha Yojana, fees of Rs 10 crore have been reimbursed to 20 thousand girls. Along with this, an amount of about Rs 3 crore 40 lakh has been transferred to 6 thousand 489 girls under the Gargi Award and Balika Shiksha Protsahan Yojana.
Foundation stone of 5 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Shiksha Vidyalayas and 2 Janjatiya Balika Ashram Hostels were laid to provide free residential education to girls belonging to disadvantaged sections living in educationally backward areas. Along with this, 40 other civil works were inaugurated and the foundation stone of 10 works was laid. In addition, under the Kalibai Bheel Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana, scooties were distributed to 2000 girl students. In the beginning of the programme, 150 Kalika units were flagged off.
Similarly, Garbh Ki Pathshala scheme dedicated to women’s health and Swasth Nari Chetna Abhiyan were launched. Along with this, 4,125 facilities were launched in 10 districts in the first phase of Gestational Diabetes Programme. Digital Coffee Book on National Tobacco Control Programme was also released.
Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Shri Bhagirath Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Ms. Diya Kumari, Dr. Premchand Bairwa, Health Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khinwsar, School Education Minister Shri Madan Dilawar, MP Shri Madan Rathore and Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant were present on the occasion among others.
Earlier, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Shri J P Nadda and Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma garlanded the statue of Swami Vivekananda at Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) campus. On the occasion, he also planted a sapling to spread the message of environment conservation.
