Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann aims to empower youth as job givers, not job seekers. Schools of Eminence provide quality education, competitive exam coaching, and mentorship to shape a brighter future for students

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann  has reiterated his commitment to empower the state’s youth by making them job givers rather than job seekers. Speaking at the Shaheed Subedar Mewa Singh School of Eminence in Morinda, Rupnagar district, the CM highlighted the government’s efforts to create a new era of educational transformation in Punjab.

Schools of Eminence – Modern Temples of Learning

CM Bhagwant Mann announced that 118 Schools of Eminence have been established across Punjab, with an investment of ₹231.74 crore. These schools aim to prepare students for future challenges, enhance their skills, and provide them opportunities to excel in life. Students are provided free uniforms and bus services, especially for girls, to ensure that no one is deprived of education due to financial constraints. Mann described these institutions as “temples of the modern era”, noting that even students from private schools are now seeking admission.

Focus on Competitive Exam Coaching

Specialized coaching is being offered for major competitive exams such as Armed Forces preparation, NEET, JEE, CLAT, and NIFT. This initiative has already yielded significant results:

• 265 students qualified for JEE Mains

• 44 students cleared JEE Advanced

• 848 students passed NEET

School Mentorship Programme

CM Bhagwant Mann also highlighted the School Mentorship Programme, where senior government officers mentor students in public schools, providing guidance and support to help them succeed academically and professionally.
