In a major step towards digital transformation, Punjab Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema on Tuesday launched three key IT-based financial modules to enhance transparency, efficiency, and pensioner welfare in the state.
While inaugurating the Pensioner Sewa Portal (PSP), the Finance Minister reaffirmed the Punjab Government’s dedication to pensioners, emphasizing that the platform will streamline pension-related services. He stated that the portal will facilitate the seamless processing of pension disbursement cases from treasuries to banks, reduce delays, enable real-time tracking, and improve grievance redressal. Additionally, the PSP’s extensive database will support informed decision-making for pensioner welfare.
Punjab Finance Minister also introduced the Non-Treasury Integrated Financial Management System (NT-IFMS), a groundbreaking non-treasury accounting system for deposit works managed by the Forest and Works departments. He explained that NT-IFMS will ensure transparency by efficiently handling the receipt and expenditure of non-treasury funds. It will also enable faster monthly account compilation at the AG office and improve decision-making through sub-modules such as NT-MIS, NT-Accounting, NT-Billing, and NT-Receipt.
