Punjab Government : In a proud moment for Punjab, ten students from state-run schools had the honour of celebrating Raksha Bandhan at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi with President Smt. Droupadi Murmu.
Punjab School Education Minister S. Harjot Singh Bains congratulated the students and their teachers for being part of such a prestigious occasion. He shared that Usha Rani, Mehakdeep Kaur, Pinky Kaur, Arshdeep Kaur, Bimandeep Kaur, Preetjot Kaur, Baljinder Kaur, Veerpal Kaur, Sunita Kaur, and Sehajdeep Kaur were among those who interacted with the President, gaining a deeper connection to India’s cultural heritage and making cherished memories.
Bains noted that their participation, symbolising the sacred sibling bond celebrated on Raksha Bandhan, reflects the Punjab Government’s commitment under Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann to nurturing young talent and fostering cultural appreciation.
Representing various government schools in Punjab, these students joined peers from across the country, celebrating the festival in a way that showcased India’s rich cultural diversity and reinforced the spirit of unity.
