Punjab government signs MoUs with STPI and DCM YES to boost AI, cybersecurity, startups and entrepreneurship education in Mohali.
The Punjab government has taken a major step towards strengthening the state’s technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem by signing agreements with Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Mohali, and DCM Young Entrepreneurs School (DCM YES).
Cabinet Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab president Aman Arora signed the agreements on behalf of the state government. The initiative aims to connect industry, educational institutions and young innovators on a common platform while creating new opportunities for technology-driven growth and employment.
A key highlight of the initiative is the development of Startup Punjab Hub Neuron 2.0 in Mohali in collaboration with STPI. The project is designed to support emerging startups and strengthen capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity. The Startup Punjab Hub Neuron 2.0 is expected to provide a stronger ecosystem for innovation, technology development and entrepreneurship.

Under the agreement with DCM YES, students will be introduced to entrepreneurship at the school level. The programme is aimed at helping young learners understand innovation, business ideas, problem-solving and entrepreneurial thinking from an early stage.
The collaboration with STPI and DCM YES reflects the Punjab government’s focus on building a technology-oriented workforce and encouraging young people to become future entrepreneurs.
