Punjab Government under CM Bhagwant Mann sends 30 school principals to Singapore for advanced modern teaching training to improve education quality.
In a significant move to enhance the quality of education in the state, the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, has sent a batch of 30 government school principals to Singapore for advanced training in modern teaching methods. This marks the 8th batch of principals being sent abroad for training, taking the total number to 264 principals trained so far.
During a press briefing, CM Bhagwant Mann highlighted that the principals will receive specialized training at the Principal Training Centre in Singapore. After completing the program, these principals are expected to implement innovative and modern teaching techniques in their respective schools, benefitting students across Punjab.
Jyoti, Principal of M.L. Puri School of Eminence, Mohali, shared her excitement before departing: “This is a great opportunity for the education sector and for us personally. Previously, we could only access limited training within the country. International exposure allows us to understand global teaching practices and implement the best methods for our students.”

Another principal, Ruchi Mangla, stated: “We are grateful to CM Bhagwant Mann and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains for their continuous efforts to strengthen our learning capacity. This 8th batch going to Singapore will further enhance our skills and teaching methods.”
Poonam, Principal of Nakodar Girls School, added: “Changes happen gradually. Being sent for international training is a historic step by the Punjab Government, and it will allow us to bring meaningful improvements to our schools.”
Karamjit Singh, a senior secondary school principal, emphasized the benefits of this initiative: “The Punjab Government’s plan to send principals to Singapore has proven successful in previous batches. Based on past results, sending this batch will further enhance the skills of our educators and improve student outcomes across the state.”
With this initiative, the Punjab Government under CM Bhagwant Mann continues to prioritize education reforms, aiming to equip school leaders with modern teaching skills and strengthen the state’s educational ecosystem.
