PUNJAB NEWS : Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan strongly condemned the inhumane treatment of Indians recently deported from America. He expressed regret over the incident where Sikh youths were not allowed to wear turbans, and the act of shackling their hands and legs was particularly reprehensible.
The Speaker urged Punjab’s youth to remain in their homeland and pursue vocational courses that would not only enable them to start their own businesses but also make them job creators. He pointed out that it is unwise to leave the fertile land of Punjab, spend hard-earned money—often up to 50 lakh rupees—and risk their lives in search of work abroad.
Sandhwan expressed pride in the hardworking youth of Punjab and encouraged them to take up vocational courses in fields such as Computer Hardware, Software, Electrician, Draftsman, Mobile Repair, Art and Craft, Jewellery Designing, Automobile Testing and Repair, Tool and Die, Multimedia, Photography, Interior Designing, Beautician, Fashion Designing, Cutting and Tailoring, CAD-CAM, Tourism and Hospitality, and Medical and Health Care, ensuring they can build a prosperous life within their own country.
