Punjab to launch PCS crash courses at Ambedkar Institute, Mohali; entrance on Sept 30; 40 seats
Punjab Cabinet Minister Dr Baljit Kaur announced that PCS crash courses will commence at the Dr B R Ambedkar Institute of Careers and Courses in Mohali, with applications invited online and offline from September 17 to 26.
An entrance test will be conducted on September 30, and based on merit, 40 candidates will be admitted to the two-month programme scheduled from October 3 to December 2.

Dr Kaur said the institute’s upgradation is underway, with ₹1.47 crore already spent and an additional ₹1.22 crore now being invested to strengthen facilities and academic delivery.
She added that the honorarium for teaching faculty has been enhanced from ₹700 per hour to ₹1,500 per hour to attract and retain quality instructors.
“PCS crash courses at Ambedkar Institute will provide focused, time-bound preparation under improved academic infrastructure and better-compensated faculty,” said Dr Baljit Kaur
