Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the newly constructed Central Library Building and the School of Biological Sciences Laboratory Building at Doon University in Dehradun. He also addressed students and members of the university community during the programme.
The inauguration of the new facilities is expected to strengthen the academic infrastructure at the university and provide students with improved resources for studies, research and practical learning.
Modern Facilities for Students
Speaking at the event, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted the importance of modern educational infrastructure in preparing students for emerging opportunities.
The newly constructed Central Library will provide students with an improved environment for academic study and access to learning resources. Meanwhile, the School of Biological Sciences Laboratory Building will support practical education and research activities in the field of biological sciences.

Community Radio 88.4 FM Launched
Following the inauguration of the buildings, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also launched the newly established Community Radio 88.4 FM at Doon University.
The community radio station is designed to provide students with a platform to showcase their creativity and develop communication and broadcasting skills. Through the radio, students will also be able to discuss subjects related to public interest, education and social awareness.
The initiative is expected to give students practical exposure to content creation, communication and community engagement.
