Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to sustainable development by launching another major initiative under the Uttarakhand Clean Mobility Transformation Policy. During an event held at the Mukhya Sevak Sadan, the Chief Minister distributed capital subsidies and incentive grants to eligible vehicle owners and flagged off 11 new clean fuel-based vehicles.
Addressing the gathering, CM Dhami said the state is moving ahead with a development model that balances ecology and economy, ensuring environmental conservation while promoting economic growth. He emphasized that clean transportation is a key pillar of Uttarakhand’s long-term vision for sustainable urban development.

Government Promoting Green and Energy-Efficient Transport
The Chief Minister highlighted that the state government is encouraging the adoption of clean, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly transport systems. According to him, financial support in the form of capital subsidies and incentives will encourage more people to shift towards clean fuel and electric vehicles.

CM Dhami said Uttarakhand is rapidly strengthening its electric mobility ecosystem in Dehradun, Haridwar, Haldwani and Rishikesh. Along with promoting electric vehicles, the government is developing an extensive network of EV charging stations to make green transportation more accessible and convenient.
He added that expanding charging infrastructure will help boost public confidence in electric vehicles while supporting the state’s clean energy goals.
