Raghav Chadha allocates ₹1 crore from MPLAD fund to build a state-of-the-art indoor sports facility in Nurpur Bedi, Rupnagar, benefiting 135 surrounding villages with badminton, table tennis, weightlifting, and an air-conditioned library for youth development.
In a significant move to promote sports and youth development, Raghav Chadha, Member of Parliament, announced the allocation of ₹1 crore from his MPLAD fund for the construction of a state-of-the-art indoor sports facility in Village Nurpur Bedi, Rupnagar district. The project aims to benefit Nurpur Bedi, a central hub for 135 surrounding villages, which until now lacked a dedicated indoor sports infrastructure.
Raghav Chadha, along with local MLA Shri Dinesh Chadha, laid the foundation stone and participated in the groundbreaking ceremony, highlighting the importance of the project for local youth.
“The MPLAD fund is public money and must always be used to address the genuine needs of the community,” Raghav Chadha stated. “This allocation is based on demands from the Gram Panchayat and the local MLA, ensuring that the project truly reflects the priorities of the people of Nurpur Bedi.”

The upcoming facility will provide young athletes with a secure and structured environment to train, compete, and enhance their sporting abilities.
