Rajasthan Cabinet chaired by CM Bhajanlal Sharma approved GCC 2025 policy, major employment initiatives, solar & coal power projects, and formed a new department for NRIs to boost investment and development in the state.
Jaipur: The Rajasthan Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, held a significant meeting on Wednesday and approved multiple key decisions aimed at boosting industrial investment, skill development, and technological upgrades, while also addressing the concerns of NRIs (Non-Resident Rajasthanis). After the meeting, Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore provided details of the decisions taken by the Cabinet.
Approval of Global Capacity Policy 2025
The Cabinet approved the Rajasthan Global Capacity Policy (GCC) 2025, designed to simultaneously promote industrial investment, skill development, and technological advancement in the state. Minister Rathore stated that the policy will provide a unified platform for both domestic and international companies to invest, produce, and access advanced skill training facilities.

The government believes the policy will create substantial employment opportunities and enhance Rajasthan’s presence in the manufacturing and technology sectors. A phased roadmap for the implementation of the policy has also been prepared.
New Department for Non-Resident Rajasthanis
The Cabinet approved the formation of a dedicated department for National and International Non-Resident Rajasthanis. This department will serve as a formal platform for communication and cooperation between NRIs and the state government. It will ensure that NRIs benefit from government schemes, address grievances, conduct exchange programs, and organize events such as the Non-Resident Rajasthani Day and honor ceremonies.
A dedicated portal for the registration of NRI Rajasthani associations will also be launched to streamline engagement.
