CM Bhajanlal Sharma said that the state government is working dedicatedly for the welfare of the deprived section of the society with the resolve of Antyodaya. He said that we are committed to ensure that the weaker sections of the society get the benefits of the Central and State Government schemes.The Chief Minister directed the officers to work with service spirit and ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the last person. He directed the officials to expeditiously complete the departmental budget announcements.
CM Bhajanlal Sharma was addressing the review meeting of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department at the Chief Minister’s Office on Monday. He said that officials should ensure through regular monitoring that no eligible person is deprived of the benefits of the schemesAnd ineligible persons should not be able to avail the benefits of the scheme, because this harms the interests of the eligible persons. Shri Sharma said that the repair work of residential schools and hostels run by the department for different sections should be done in a phased manner after setting priorityMr. Sharma directed the officials to ensure strict adherence to the prescribed guidelines at stone breaking and grinding sites and mines so that silicosis disease can be controlled.
The state government took important decisions for the upliftment of the deprived class –
CM Bhajanlal said that the state government has taken many decisions for the upliftment of the deprived class. In the state budget, the amount of SCSP and TSP fund for the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Tribes has been increased from Rs 1000 crore to Rs 1500 crore.He said that the social security pension amount has also been increased from Rs 1000 to Rs 1150. The mess allowance payable to students in government and aided hostels of all categories in the state has also been increased from Rs 2500 to Rs 3000. Shri Sharma said that the Ghumanthu Housing Scheme is being implemented for the people of the nomadic community who are deprived of shelter. Artificial limbs and equipment are being provided to disabled citizens of the state. Apart from this, scooters will also be given to provide support to 2 thousand young disabled people. He said that for children suffering from rare diseases, Chief Minister Ayushman Bal Sambal Yojana will be started soon and monthly assistance of Rs 5,000 will be given.
There should be regular verification of social security pensioners-
CM Bhajanlal said in the meeting that the state government is providing social security pension benefits to about 90 lakh people. he directed the officers That the eligibility of the beneficiaries receiving social security pension and the records related to them should be regularly verified and strict action should be taken against the officers and employees who are negligent in this work.He said that registration of death of such pensioners should be made mandatory and responsibility of the concerned personnel should be fixed.
During this, Additional Chief Secretary Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Kuldeep Ranka informed the Chief Minister about the progress and achievements of departmental schemes through a presentation.
