Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma to hold weekly public hearings from December, boosting governance, citizen engagement, and preparation for Panchayat elections.
Rajasthan News: Ahead of the upcoming Panchayat elections, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has taken a major decision to hold weekly public hearings at the state BJP headquarters starting from December. This initiative aims to strengthen coordination between party leadership and governance while prioritizing the role of Mandal (division) presidents.
During discussions with BJP officials from district to division levels in the Ajmer and Bikaner divisions, CM Sharma emphasized the importance of Mandal presidents in addressing public concerns. He stated that starting December, two ministers will be available at the state headquarters on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to personally listen to issues and suggestions from party workers and citizens.
CM Sharma also directed a regular review of the SIR program and instructed officials to actively prepare for both municipal and Panchayat elections. Interactions were held with officials from Ajmer in the morning and Bikaner in the afternoon, focusing on resolving ground-level problems and strengthening governance.
Reaching Citizens with Government Achievements
The CM urged party workers to communicate the government’s achievements to the public. He highlighted that the BJP government has delivered significantly more work in the past two years compared to the previous Congress administration. CM Sharma also encouraged party workers to participate actively in programs and strengthen social media outreach. He noted that each assembly constituency has received Rs. 28 crore in development funds over the last two years.

Structured Feedback Mechanism
As part of the initiative, discussions were organized in district-wise groups, and a structured feedback form was filled. The form collected suggestions related to governance and organizational priorities, as well as details of development works in each constituency. A dedicated helpline was also launched for citizens to register complaints, and selected party workers will directly interact with the Chief Minister.
Party Leadership Critiques Congress
State BJP President Madan Rathore criticized the Congress government, stating that the previous administration had hurriedly restructured wards and districts before elections for political gain. The meeting was attended by State Finance Commission Chairman Arun Chaturvedi, MPs C.P. Joshi and Ghanshyam Tiwari, former state president Ashok Parnami, and various district and division-level BJP officials.
This proactive step by CM Bhajanlal Sharma is expected to enhance transparency, citizen engagement, and effective governance while strengthening the BJP’s grassroots presence ahead of the Panchayat elections in Rajasthan.
