Rajasthan District Collector Shubham Chaudhary: A review meeting of the Jal Jeevan Mission was held under the chairmanship of Rajasthan District Collector Shubham Chaudhary at the Collectorate auditorium on Friday. On the occasion, the District Collector apprised the Chief Minister of the progress of the projects.
In the meeting, the Collector directed the Superintending Engineer Public Health Engineering Bhagwan Sahay Meena to expedite the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme and ensure access to water connection in all Anganwadi centres, health centres, gram panchayat buildings and schools. He also directed the officials to repair the roads after completion of the work. The number of villages with 100% FHTCs should be increased by ensuring progress in the number of villages of the reported category and certified category by coordinating with the sarpanch. At the same time, he directed the Executive Engineer of the Power Department, Ashok Kumar Bujethia, to ensure that the outstanding electricity connections to the drinking water sources constructed under the Jal Jeevan Mission should be installed within this month.
In the meeting, the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission was reviewed section-wise, in which on the slow progress of the targets achieved against the allocated targets, he directed all the departments to work on mission mode by establishing mutual coordination. He also directed the officials of the Water Resources Department to take care of the safety of water tanks, the proximity of sewerage lines to drinking water lines and the pure supply of water.
He has directed the concerned officials to get the pipeline repaired at the earliest and stop the flow of waste water. He said that regular inspection and maintenance of the pipeline should be ensured so that such problem does not occur in future. The Collector directed the Water Resources Department to take immediate action on getting information about the pipeline leakage and make the general public aware about the importance of water conservation. At the same time, people were appealed not to misuse the water and report any kind of leakage to the concerned department immediately.
Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma, Joint CP Harsh Dayama, MC Additional Commissioner Aditya Dachalwal, MC Joint Commissioner Ankur Mahindru, ADC Khanna Sakatar Singh Bal, besides several others were also present on the occasion.
