Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar said in the Assembly on Monday that the survey of buildings and toilets of government schools in the state is underway.
Later, toilets will be constructed in schools. Rajasthan Education Minister said that separate toilets would be constructed for girls in primary and upper primary schools.
The Education Minister was replying to supplementary questions in this regard raised by the members during Question Hour. Proposals have been sent to the Panchayati Raj Department for construction of toilets in government schools under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Earlier, in a written reply to the original question of MLA Shri Manoj Kumar, the Education Minister informed that as per U-Dice Data 2023-24, out of total 147 government schools having own building in Tehsil Sujangarh, 146 schools and out of total 195 government schools having own building in Tehsil Bidasar, toilet facilities are available in 195 government schools. Sarothia, a government higher secondary school with its own building in Sujangarh tehsil, does not have a toilet. In tehsils Sujangarh and Bidasar, as per U-DISE data 2023-24, girls toilets are not available in two government higher secondary schools Sarothia and Dyatri with own buildings.
