RAJASTHAN Electoral Registration Officer : BLO Shri Ashok Kumar, who was found absent at the polling station and was negligent in the special brief revision program being conducted in compliance with the orders of the Election Department, has been suspended. Electoral Registration Officer of Malviya Nagar Assembly Constituency Dr. Gordhan Lal Sharma has issued suspension orders.
Dr. Sharma said that in compliance with the orders of the Election Department, special revision camps are being organized in Jaipur district.Under which all the BLOs are present at their polling stations and are completing the work of registering as many voters as possible in the voter list.
On Sunday, Deputy District Election Officer Mr. Ashish Kumar inspected the polling stations, during which Mr. Ashok Kumar, BLO of Booth No. 58, located in the Executive Engineer (South) Public Health Engineering Department, Gandhinagar, was found absent in the assembly constituency Malviya Nagar. On which instructions for action were given. At the same time, Electoral Registration Officer, Assembly Constituency Malviya Nagar, Dr. Gordhan Lal Sharma, Mahatma Gandhi Government School, Shaheed Lt. Abhay. Pareek Government Girls School, Director Animal Husbandry Department, Surprise inspection was conducted at the booths located at Pashudhan Bhawan, Tonk Road and Executive Engineer (South) Public Health Engineering Department, Gandhinagar, in which BLO of Booth No. 58 Mr. Ashok Kumar was found absent. After which suspension action was taken against the said BLO on the spot.
It is noteworthy that by the Election Department, especially the people who have completed 18 years of age or the people who have shifted to other places, they can fill various forms like Form-6 for making a new voter card,Form-7 is filled for deletion of name, Form-8 for amendment in voter card and Form-6B for linking Aadhaar with voter card.Through which voters can apply themselves through the online Voter Helpline App or can apply through the BLOs present at the polling stations.
The Election Department also conducts sweep activities for participatory democracy so that more and more voters can participate in the festivals of democracy.In which advance applications have been taken by organizing camps in the educational institutions of Malviya Nagar assembly constituency to receive advance applications from the youth who have completed 17 years of age through Voter Helpline App/Voter Portal. Also, to ensure 100 percent names of disabled voters of the area in the voter list, special camps for voters were organized at Mahavir Viklang Seva Samiti, Prayas Sansthan, Jhalana Dungri, Shri Nirmal Vivek Special School and Muk Deaf Sansthan, Trimurti Circle. Under the special summary revision programme, the work of registration of voters will be done till 28 November 2024.
