In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Rajasthan government on Friday night transferred 48 IAS officers, marking a major change in the state bureaucracy under the new Chief Secretary V. Srinivas. The transfers have been seen as both a political and administrative signal, reshaping key departments and portfolios.
Key Changes in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO)
Shikhar Agrawal, formerly Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Chief Minister’s Office, has been moved to the Industries Department. In his place, Akhil Arora, previously ACS of the Jalday Department, has been appointed as the new ACS of the CMO. Roadways MD Purushottam Sharma has been given additional responsibility as Transport Commissioner, consolidating key transport and road operations under one officer.
Promotions and Expansions
Praveen Gupta, ACS of PWD, has been entrusted with multiple additional responsibilities including Tourism, Art and Culture, RTDC Chairmanship, and CEO of Amer Development Authority, reflecting a major career advancement.

Other Departmental Transfers
Alok Gupta, ACS of the Industries Department and previously head of BIP, has been reassigned as Chairman of the Pollution Control Board.
Rajesh Yadav, ACS of Tourism and Art & Culture, has been moved to serve as Director General of HCM RIPA, indicating a shift away from the secretariat.
Naveen Jain has been shifted from Finance Expenditure to GAD and Cabinet Secretariat.
Health Secretary Gayatri Rathore has been promoted to additionally oversee Medical Education, while Tina Soni has taken over Finance Expenditure Secretary, and Rajan Vishal has been appointed Secretary in Budget.
Manju Rajpal and Other Key Assignments
Manju Rajpal now oversees the Cooperation Department, Registrar responsibilities, Agriculture-Horticulture Department, and Seed Corporation Chairmanship, consolidating significant portfolios.

Bhavani Singh Detha has been moved from Food Department to Women & Child Development. Ravi Jain has been retained in Autonomous Governance and additionally assigned DLB Commissioner and JCTCL Chairmanship.
