Rajasthan sees historic IAS transfers in CMO with 11 officers posted. CS misses preferred choice. Read full list and analysis in this exclusive report.
In a historic development, Rajasthan has witnessed a major reshuffle under IAS transfers in CMO, with 11 IAS officers now posted in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). This is the first time such a large number of IAS officers have been assigned to CMO, highlighting the office’s increasing administrative significance.
New Appointments in CMO
The latest IAS transfers in CMO list includes seven new officers: Rajat Yadav, Akshat Kumar Singh, Garima Narula, Riya Dabi, and Amita Sharma. In addition, Jitendra Kumar Soni, Utsav Kaushal, and Mukul Sharma have also been posted to CMO, further strengthening the administrative machinery.
Impact on RAS Officers
With these IAS transfers in CMO, it is expected that the upcoming RAS transfer list will remove officers currently serving in the CMO, as IAS officers now handle the majority of responsibilities in the office.

CS Does Not Get Preferred Officer
One of the major talking points in this reshuffle is that Chief Secretary V. Srinivasan did not get his preferred officer. The CS had requested IAS officer Junaid PP for his office, even running a note sheet in December. However, Junaid PP was assigned as Collector of Salumber, a relatively smaller district.
Officers Already in Discussion
Some appointments had been under discussion for nearly a year. Jitendra Soni, who moved from Jaipur Collector to CM Secretary, was long rumored to join CMO. Similarly, Sandesh Nayak was appointed Jaipur Collector after rumors of his exit from CMO circulated for months.
RAS and Other Service Officers Left Out
Last year, 16 officers promoted from RAS and other services did not receive major postings under this IAS transfers in CMO list. Many had anticipated that at least a few of them would get Collector positions, but none were assigned such roles, leaving them without significant administrative responsibility.
Tina Dabi and Riya Dabi’s Posting
IAS Tina Dabi has been transferred from the border district of Barmer to Tonk as Collector, considered a political downgrade despite her previous recognition for administrative work. Her sister, Riya Dabi, has been posted in CMO as CM’s OSD, marking a notable inclusion in this reshuffle.
This IAS transfers in CMO reshuffle reflects a strategic move to strengthen Rajasthan’s administrative structure, highlighting the increasing power of the Chief Minister’s Office.
