Public representatives and officers of the division were present in the review meeting of Minister Madan, pay special attention to cleanliness in villages, live a plastic and disposal free life, all nomadic and semi-nomadic families will get leases.
Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar held a review meeting of public representatives and officials of the division in Ajmer on Thursday. In this, various points including Swachh Bharat Mission, distribution of leases to nomadic and semi-nomadic families and plantation of trees were reviewed district wise.
Education and Panchayati Raj Minister said that Rajasthan is the first state to release BSR rate for Swachh Bharat Mission Rural. According to this, after issuing most of the tenders, work orders have been issued and work has been started at some places.On the lines of cities, the government’s intention to start door-to-door garbage collection in villages from the new year will be implemented. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is working to focus on this. The government has adequate budget for sanitation activities in rural areas. It has been ensured by the government that the amount of cleanliness item should be used only for cleanliness activities. If this amount is used for other purposes, personal recovery will be made from the concerned.
He said that under ODF, it should be ensured that all the toilets are functional and every person should use the toilet. No person should defecate in the open. Similarly, in ODF Plus, focus will be on liquid and solid waste management in rural areas. Rajasthan state should look clean. This is the collective responsibility of all of us. Cleaning should be regular. To ensure that the sweepers get the work, the contract terms have been changed and contracts have been re-drawn. This will provide employment to the local sanitation workers as well as full payment.There is also a provision for overtime for working more than the prescribed eight hours. Online method will be adopted for cleanliness monitoring. If cleaning is not done, fine will be charged from the contractor.
Made a pledge to stay away from plastic and disposable materials
The Education and Panchayati Raj Minister made the present public representatives and personnel pledge to stay away from plastic and disposable materials. All the people agreed by raising both their hands. Even in the meeting, plastic and disposable materials were not used.Made aware about the damage caused to the environment by plastic, polythene and disposable materials. This material is also harmful for farming. These have side effects on cows also. To avoid disposable material, utensil banks should be created in villages. Use materials like leaves in the ceremony.
Minister Madan Dilawar said that encroachment should be removed from pastures by running a campaign in rural areas. For this, identify encroachments. The committees formed for water sources and pastures should remain functional. The names of nominated members for these committees should be taken from public representatives. Resolve complaints received in committees. Pay special attention to conservation and promotion of traditional water sources.
He said that public representatives and officers complement each other. Officers should ensure four nights rest every month in rural areas.Public representatives and officials should work with mutual coordination. The problem of drainage in rural areas can be solved by mutual consent. There is a provision of drain along with the road being built here. Do not even pay for the road to a contractor who does not make drains.
Minister Madan Dilawar said that liberated, nomadic and semi-nomadic people are the heritage of the country. It is the responsibility of the society and the government to provide them housing. Every such family should get a plot. Housing will also be built to bring them into the mainstream. The campaign for distribution of patta to them is still going on. There is a plan to issue pattas to more than 31 thousand families of the state on the day of Basant Panchami.
He said that under the tree plantation campaign, a record of planting 7 crore saplings has been made in the state during monsoon. Protect these plants.To make these trees, security guards have been deployed through MNREGA. Plant new plants in place of dry and burnt plants. Officers and public representatives should also monitor this.
On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer of Ajmer Zilla Parishad, Shri Abhishek Khanna informed about the progress of the districts of the division. Ajmer MLA Mrs. Anita Bhadel, Bhilwara MLA Mr. Ashok Kumar Kothari, Asind MLA Mr. Jabbar Singh Sankhla,Masuda MLA Mr. Virendra Singh Kanawat, Deoli MLA Mr. Rajendra Gurjar, Beawar MLA Mr. Shankar Singh Rawat and Nasirabad MLA Mr. Ramswaroop Lamba discussed about the work being done in the area.
In the meeting, Ajmer District Chief Smt. Sushil Kanwar Palada, Nagaur District Chief Shri Bhagirath Ram Chaudhary, Tonk District Chief Saroj Kanwar, Bhilwara District Chief Varji Bai, Deputy Mayor of Ajmer Municipal Corporation Mr. Neeraj Jain, Trainee IAS Mahima Kasana along with all the Chief Executive Officers, Principal and Development Officers were present.
