RAJASTHAN NEWS : A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Electoral Officer at the Government Secretariat on Tuesday regarding the preparation of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Photo Electoral Rolls and other election related works by the Election Commission of India. Divisional Commissioners of Jaipur Division, all 7 District Election Officers and all Electoral Registration Officers attended the meeting through video conferencing.
In the meeting, Shri Naveen Mahajan directed the District Election Officers of Jaipur Division to effectively implement the process of training, public relations monitoring and document collection on a large scale under the Special Intensive Review Campaign 2025 by the Election Department to ensure the strength of democracy and transparency of the electoral process in Rajasthan. He said that training the polling personnel is very essential for the success of the election process.
While directing the District Collectors, Mr. Mahajan emphasized that the main objective of the campaign is to include the name of every eligible citizen in the voter list.
He said that BLOs need to be given basic orientation. It should be our effort that the queries are resolved at the BLO level itself. He said that help desks should be set up at the ward level in the municipal corporation so that the common people do not face any kind of problem.
The Chief Electoral Officer said that the appointment of booth level agents should be made soon in coordination with all the concerned political parties. He said that the work of rationalization of polling stations should be completed keeping in mind the number of voters, distance, accessibility, convenience, and basic facilities.
It may be recalled that on 2nd July 2025, all the designated Master Trainers, Deputy DEOs and PROs were trained through video conferencing. Between July 3 and 15, all BLOs were trained in small batches. On 16th, 18th and 21st July 2025, special training was imparted to 271 Master Trainers from all the districts.
