RAJASTHAN NEWS : On the first Monday of the holy month of Shravan, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Forest and Environment, Shri Sanjay Sharma performed Rudrabhishek on the idol of Lord Shiva installed in the Shiva Temple and General Hospital at Sabzi Mandi in Alwar and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and good rains of the state.
The Minister of State for Forest, Shri Sharma while wishing all the devotees on the Monday of Shravan said that the Monday of Shravan has special significance in Sanatan culture. On this day, devotees observe a fast on this day and worship Lord Shiva. He said that this month is important from the point of view of natural beauty and environmental protection due to the highest rainfall. He said that the State Government is continuously working with full dedication for the upgradation of religious and tourist places. The announcement of the state government to increase the amount of bhog in temples has proved to be a commendable step. During this, he gave the message of environmental protection by planting saplings as part of his resolve to plant regular saplings at both the places. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, a target has been set to plant more than 10 crore saplings in the state this year under the Hariyalo Rajasthan campaign. Therefore, people should not only plant saplings but also take care of them while preserving the environment and expressing their gratitude to Mother Earth.
On this occasion, SSP Harjit Singh, SDM Sandeep Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Dr. Karamjit Singh, SP Sukhdev Singh Virk, DSP Rajesh Chibbar, EO Parvinder Singh, AD Vijay Bhaskar, DSO Jaspreet Singh, Bhupinder Barnala among various others were also present.
