Rajasthan News : CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the State Government is committed to fulfill the aspirations of 8 crore people of the State and provide transparent and accountable governance.
Rajasthan News: All the officers and employees should give top priority to the works related to the public interest. Reviewing in detail the relief and rescue work in the areas affected by heavy rains in the state, the Chief Minister directed the officials to provide all possible assistance on loss of life and property with sensitivity and promptness. He said that District Collectors should work on alert mode to deal with situations arising out of excessive rainfall.
Sharma was chairing a review meeting on various issues at the Chief Minister’s Office here on Monday. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister held a detailed discussion with the concerned District Collectors and issued guidelines on the work being done for civil protection in the rain-affected areas, as well as essential services including medical services, availability of food items for the general public. He directed the Hanumangarh District Collector to work on alert mode in coordination with the states of Punjab and Haryana in this regard in view of the increasing inflow of water in Ghaggar river. The officials apprised the Chief Minister that 21 districts of the state have received abnormal rainfall and 16 districts have received above normal rainfall. Restoration work of public properties damaged due to heavy rains is being carried out at a rapid pace.
Three-day campaign from 2nd September to provide relief to every affected person
The Chief Minister gave clear instructions that no one affected by heavy rains should be deprived of assistance. In this regard, he directed to launch a three-day special campaign from September 2 in the rain-affected areas to ensure assistance and other relief to the affected as per rules. Sharma also directed the district collectors to send the Girdawari report on crop loss at the earliest. The Chief Minister also discussed and gave necessary instructions regarding relief and rescue of the people of Rajasthan affected by heavy rains and natural calamities in the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand etc.
City Chalo Campaign from 15th September to 2nd October
The Chief Minister said that the state government is going to run the ‘Shahar Chalo’ campaign from September 15 to October 2 across the state to improve sanitation in urban bodies, install new street lights, catch stray animals, dispose of pending cases of urban bodies, repair roads, etc. He directed that wide publicity of this campaign should be ensured so that maximum number of people are benefitted. Also, applications should be received from the general public by setting up a preparatory camp before the main camp to be held in the campaign.
The campaign will be run in 2 Gram Panchayats of every Panchayat Samiti.
The Chief Minister said that the state government will run Gram Chalo campaign in two Gram Panchayats of every Panchayat Samiti from September 18. The course will be of three-days “duration. Applications for government schemes, health camps, repair work of schools, seed mini insect distribution etc. will be done. Along with this, a cooperative membership campaign will also be conducted across the state from October 2 to October 15. Shri Sharma directed to appoint nodal officers for all these campaigns.
Strict action should be taken against corrupt, negligent and undisciplined employees.
The Chief Minister said that the officers and employees should discharge the duties of the general public with sincerity and dedication. The state government is committed to take strict action against negligent and corrupt employees and honour dedicated employees. The Chief Minister directed the district collectors to prepare a list of corrupt, negligent and undisciplined employees and send it to the state government so that strict action can be taken against such employees.
Law and order is a top priority, police should take strict action on crime immediately.
“Law and order is the top priority of the state government. In order to maintain law and order, the police should take strict action in every incident. In view of the festive season, work should be done with voluntary organizations and the general public to prevent untoward incidents at religious places like temples and tourist places. He said that publicity of prompt action taken by the police against criminal incidents should also be ensured so that public confidence in law and order is maintained.
He directed the district collectors to send proposals for repair or new construction of school, anganwadi and hospital buildings at the earliest. At the same time, he directed the officials to connect as many eligible people as possible with PM SVANidhi Yojana, Food Security Scheme, Lakhpati Didi Yojana, PM Kusum Yojana. Shri Sharma also provided necessary guidelines while reviewing the updated progress of Panch Gaurav Programme, status of MoUs received under Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit in the districts and discussion on the proposed projects for ground breaking, time bound implementation of budget announcements and disposal of cases received on Mukhyamantri Jansunwai Portal. He also directed to complete works related to cleanliness, installation of new street lights and road repairs in the districts soon in view of the upcoming festivals.
Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister J. C. Sharma, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister J. C. Sharma, Secretary GAD Devesh Kumar and other senior officers attended the meeting. Divisional Commissioners, District Collectors, Range IGs and Superintendents of Police from across the state attended the meeting through VC.
