RAJASTHAN NEWS : Like every year, this year too, Sanskrit scholars who have done remarkable work in the field of Sanskrit will be honoured at the state level Sanskrit Diwas celebrations. The Commissioner, Sanskrit Education, Rajasthan has invited scholarly proposals through all District Collectors, University Registrars, Divisional Sanskrit Education Officers, Directors, Elementary and Secondary Education, and Heads of Institutions of the Department of Sanskrit Education. Commissioner, Sanskrit Education, Priyanka Jodhawat informed that a brief introductory statement of the scholars along with the proposals has been sought in the prescribed form. Proposals can be sent compulsorily by July 15, 2025 by post / in person and departmental email (dir-sans-rj@nic.in). For the selection of scholars under the scheme of honouring Sanskrit scholars on the occasion of Sanskrit Day
Specified criteria:
– Plan.
In order to increase the prestige of Sanskrit scholars in the society and for their commendable services to the society, excellent and high-quality Sanskrit scholars and Sanskrit personnel should be awarded and honoured with state-level awards on the occasion of Sanskrit Day celebrations every year.
– Field of work
For the award, Sanskrit-educators, scholars and Sanskrit workers who possess academic qualification and special skills in the following fields, who have created remarkable literature, who have done commendable service to the reputation of Sanskrit education and its teaching in the society and who are conscious, aware and dedicated to the promotion, development and expansion of Sanskrit will be selected.
1. Those who have served Vedic literature by practicing the traditional Veda-patha or by teaching students the Saswara Veda-sanhitas or by practicing the Veda-bhashyas, studying the Upanishads and interpreting other Vedic literature.
2. Those who, in addition to being scholars of classical traditions, are authoritative scholars of the scriptures.
3. Those who have developed Sanskrit literature by publishing the various parts of Sanskrit literature, the secret knowledge contained in any part / sub-part.
4. Those who have created literature in this field by using innovations in Sanskrit studies, teaching and training methods.
5. Those who have distinguished themselves in Sanskrit education by establishing and running institutions of higher learning and training.
6. Those who have served Sanskrit literature by doing notable work in the field of research, comparative study or exploratory service based on Sanskrit literature and have published and propagated the knowledge-science contained in Sanskrit.
7. Those who have contributed to the importance of Sanskrit literature in the context of contemporary social, spiritual and cultural values and have played a significant role in spreading Sanskrit to the masses through the medium of communication.
8. Those who have made significant contributions by writing or by means of propaganda to prove the background and significance of the meaning of Devavani by making a rational analysis of the grammar of Sanskrit language and its scientificity, excellence and vastness.
It will be sufficient for the meritorious scholars selected for the honour to be found eligible under any one of the criteria and scholars of both traditional and modern trends will be eligible for it.
Special:
Respectable – 1. While selecting a scholar, his academic qualifications, original works, research works and other writings and achievements in the field of development, expansion and dissemination of Sanskrit education will be evaluated in a comprehensive manner so that the selection process is completely objective and factual.
It should also be kept in mind that the selection will be done keeping in view the entire Rajasthan.
3.Sanskrit scholars who have relatively less educational qualification may be selected on the basis of scrutiny of other achievements in the field of Sanskrit.
