Rajasthan strengthens startup ecosystem under CM Bhajanlal Sharma, 7100+ startups secured ₹1,000+ crore investment, creating 42,500+ jobs statewide.
Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Rajasthan’s startup ecosystem has witnessed significant growth, generating employment and attracting substantial investments. The state government, through the Department of Information Technology and Communication, is actively promoting innovation and entrepreneurship via the iStart program, which serves as a comprehensive platform to support and enhance startups across the state.
The iStart Rajasthan portal (www.istart.rajasthan.gov.in ) has become a pivotal hub for startups, providing end-to-end support and resources. Over 7,100 startups are currently registered on the platform, collectively securing more than ₹1,000 crore in investments, and creating employment for over 42,500 individuals. The platform offers recognition, skill development, funding opportunities, and growth incentives to help startups scale efficiently.
One-Stop Gateway for Startup Growth
The iStart portal functions as a one-stop gateway for all startup-related initiatives. It features customized dashboards for government officials, mentors, students, educators, and administrators, ensuring seamless access to various services, funding, and support programs.
Curated Bootcamps and Startup Evaluation
The Curate Program, India’s only startup rating framework, evaluates startups for growth potential and investment readiness. Participating startups receive financial support, incubation facilities, and detailed evaluation reports. The program also conducts bootcamps to help founders refine their products, business strategies, and market plans, addressing gaps and strengthening operations.

Incubation Support Through iStart Nest
The iStart Nest Incubation Program provides startups with free workspace, connectivity, hardware, mentorship, market access, and connections to venture capitalists and national/international experts. Incubation centers are operational in Jaipur (TechnoHub), Bharatpur, Udaipur, Kota, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Pali, and Churu, offering over 2,000 incubation seats. TechnoHub Jaipur, India’s largest startup hub, provides incubation space for over 700 startups across 1,50,000 sq. ft., making it a one-stop solution for entrepreneurship.
Financial Assistance for Startups
Rajasthan’s government offers comprehensive financial support to startups at various stages:
Idea & Prototype Stage: Up to ₹2.4 lakh (₹3 lakh for women entrepreneurs)
Seed Stage: Up to ₹60 lakh
Loan Assistance: Up to ₹2 crore
Equity Support: Up to ₹5 crore
Additionally, through the e-Market portal, startups registered under iStart can receive direct orders worth up to ₹25 lakh from various government departments. To date, 168 government orders totaling over ₹30 crore have been awarded.
Promoting Entrepreneurship Among Students
The government is actively fostering entrepreneurship among school and college students through 65 iStart Launchpad Nest centers across 33 districts, in collaboration with the Department of School Education. These centers provide guidance in innovation, emerging technologies, and prototyping. The Atal Innovation Program further enables students to explore coding, robotics, AV/VR, and agritech opportunities, promoting skill development and a creative economy in Jaipur, Udaipur, Bikaner, and Bharatpur.
School and Rural Startup Programs
The School Startup Program under iStart has registered over 1,16,000 students, offering them knowledge about self-employment and entrepreneurship along with certification upon completion of modules. Simultaneously, the Rural iStart Program is expanding the startup ecosystem in rural Rajasthan, with more than 800 rural startups currently registered. This initiative aims to drive innovation and development in agriculture and rural sectors, boosting economic growth at the grassroots level.
