Rajpal Yadav defends Wamiqa Gabbi after trolls misinterpreted Bhooth Bangla promotions. Actor clarifies camera angles caused misunderstanding.
Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has stepped in to defend co-star Wamiqa Gabbi after she faced online backlash for allegedly ‘ignoring’ him during the promotions of the upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla. Social media users misinterpreted clips from the promotional events, leading to unnecessary criticism of Wamiqa.
Misunderstanding During Bhooth Bangla Promotions
While speaking to Zoom, Rajpal Yadav clarified that the incident was purely a misunderstanding caused by camera angles. He said, “It happens that from one camera angle it looks like I’m doing something with someone else, and that poor girl is doing something else, but the camera makes it look completely different.”
He added that the cast shares a comfortable rapport, leaving no room for formality, and that someone viewing from a distance might misinterpret casual interactions. Rajpal Yadav defends Wamiqa Gabbi by emphasizing that he has never felt ignored in his 25-year career, highlighting the playful nature of their on-screen and off-screen dynamics.

What Really Happened
One viral clip showed Rajpal Yadav, Akshay Kumar, Ektaa Kapoor, and Wamiqa Gabbi at a Bhooth Bangla promotional event. Wamiqa was seen walking towards Ektaa Kapoor while Rajpal appeared to be fixing his hair. Many assumed Wamiqa was ignoring Rajpal, but the actor dismissed these claims as a simple camera misinterpretation.
Another clip showed Mithila Palkar asking Wamiqa to stand beside Rajpal for a group photo. Initially, she appeared hesitant, but she eventually stood next to him. Rajpal jokingly walked away, prompting Wamiqa to follow him back, turning the moment humorous rather than disrespectful.
By addressing these incidents publicly, Rajpal Yadav defends Wamiqa Gabbi, emphasizing that the trolling was unnecessary and the interactions were all in good spirits.
